During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

A low smirk graced my obsidian kissers, a lopsided grin that was rather breath taking. The elders always say that young blood was essential for the pack to last on beyond a generation, and so I would accept her kindly in not attempt to traumatize her- If I could manipulate her personality and actions into something of my kind, then we could have yet another deadly weapon upon our paws. My devious mind was at work, and it seemed as though I was in deep thought before I snapped back into reality to find yet another female approaching. Well shit, I didn't want just a huge pack of females-no offense to them- but I'd like some more of my gender, too. Either way, if they were willing to hand their loyalty to me, then there wasn't a problem with them being within my borders. Each of them seemed worthy enough, but that wouldn't be known until later. The nearing teen had watched Jersey for a moment before returning to me, herself too bowing. Not soon after that, her lyrics flowed into the atmosphere. I nodded to confirm her assumptions of me being alpha, and although I kept my face emotionless, I know she understands. After all, this pack didn't get it's name for nothing. Then again, don't get the wrong judgement of me, I'm not all soulless and cold hearted. In fact, I have a sweet side too, one that can be more charming than anything.

"Greetings Lillian, nice of you to join us."

There was no certain emotion to his voice, but my struggle to remain calm under all the gazes was wearing thin. Some of the ones who have accompanied me have irritated me in their foolish and disrespectful ways, but for some reason I knew they could go far in the ranks if they at least tried, which was why I was giving them another chance-rather than ripping their throats out like I much would have loved to do. There was one in particular whom was hiding within the brush for quite some time, and I began to become curious if they were a spy from another pack, or if they were just simply nervous to appear in front of all of these lupines. I found my gaze glancing every so often in that direction, and finally it lingered as a grey hessian broke away from his hiding spot. With long strides, the boy neared me rather quickly and I found there was a stiffness within his frame. A stubborn one. Trust issues, perhaps? He filled the air with a tension as he entered so full of himself, and it caused the hairs on the back of my neck to bristle a bit, not knowing what exactly this male's intentions were. When he bowed, though, I released the tension and nodded in a short response. Mere souls of the world, or soldiers? Both would be taken in either way, but warriors greatly appreciated. Equality was a law in my book, but hell, even I broke that rule most of the time, so who gives a fuck? A mere shrug came to my shoulders in his first question before he continued with his next.

"This world is welcomed to any soul, including soldiers. Weak souls will not find solace here, but strong ones will strive. As for your choice, Rhundus, it is understandable that your decision has not been made.."

Patience. Hopefully most of these lupines that surrounded me had it in their systems-and were able to keep it under control for much time. There was still much energy left in my soul and veins that I would be happily to get into a full out brawl at the moment, to be taken over by the bloodlust that started as a frenzy when the crimson liquid lapped at my taste buds. Just think about it almost had me shivering in pleasure, but I somehow managed to choke down the urge. As long as my mind was wandering at this moment, I wondered about the numbers that would show up this particular day. They were already stacking up as it is, reaching up to eight, but then including me would be nine. Nine in the pack right off the bat. Turning my attention back to present day life, my optics fell upon another hessian entering the clearing-and then the male's numbers were up to four, that is, including me. Watching as the male strut towards us, I fought back the urge to snarl and roll my eyes; he was walking as though he owned the place, but I knew that wasn't his intentions. Either way it irked me. A devilish grin appeared on his labias, a glint of his fangs peeking through, but not in a threatening manner, before he spoke his name as he bowed in greeting. So his name was Jack; already I was embedding everyone's name, scent, and appearance into my brain upon first look, and his was just one to add to my easy collections. Jack ended off with a sort of insane chuckle, causing me to cock an eyebrow as though the male were crazy, but there was much power within the depths. There was an expectation that this one was going to shoot for a rank; strong and determination proving that. And with a nod, I merely accepted him to attempt to gain my trust. With that being out of the way, I knew that we were still awaiting a few vargs, but I let my voice ring out to warn them of our awaiting.

"Hope you all have enough patience to last you through a little longer; we are still awaiting a few. As for now: For those of you who have not heard my name before, absorb it now. I am Volbeat, your new alpha."
