Talon growled. He was NOT going to lose another important person in his life, no way. Sugar thought that he wouldn't notice her limp, but it wasn't completely unnoticeable. Carefully, Talon moved in front of her to block her from the tiger's line of vision.

The tiger roared, its gaze locked on Talon as its tail twitched in agitation. Slowly, Talon walked to one side, making sure the tiger continued to look at only him. Suddenly, the tiger lunged once again.

Talon jumped back, and the tiger went past him once again. This time was different though. This time, Talon attacked. He leaped onto the unprepared tiger's back, sinking his teeth into the tiger's neck. The tiger bucked and twisted, roaring in pain. Talon's claws dug into the tiger as he struggled to hold on.

Then, the tiger slammed himself into the side of the cavern, Talon in between it and the wall. Talon yelped as he heard his ribs crack. He couldn't yet feel the pain with the adrenaline pumping through his veins, luckily, and when the tiger peeled away from the wall Talon was still latched to his neck tightly.
