Strange is the fact that I was perfectly okay with being in a dark cave with a random brute that was at least three times my size. His presence is everywhere yet instead of frightening me it calms me. Where his ailment is blindness, mine was one that no one has yet to name. At first we believed it was simply my personality and that I’d grow out of it but no, I will always be the fidgety one. As he spoke, I kept my eyes on him. I wasn’t going to object to that request. If only I had the guts to tell him how appealing his appearance was, but alas I do not and so I said nothing. As the comment of the dragon arose I let out a small laugh. Not so much a giggle but not so much an outburst. After I speak about how I cannot see, his reply excites me and I almost move somewhere else again. I tilt my head as he promises to be my eyes. One cannot simply become another’s eyes. His massive bodice gently pressed against my side unexpectedly and I jumped slightly. Then he began moving forward and I felt an invisible tug on my body as m paws followed him without consent. To my disappointment, we were headed deeper into the cavern, the minuscule light that was there was now gone.

At first I began tripping like the true klutz I was but I locked onto his presence beside me. His colorful masterpiece intertwined with my russet one and I closed my eyes, letting him guide me. I had no reason to keep them open anyways, it’s not like I can see either way. It felt as if I were floating, his aroma flew into my nares and racked my brain. Electricity seemed to fly between us, putting the tips of my auburn fur on end. I didn’t need to open my eyes and peer at him for I could feel his everything. I could feel his bright eyes, feel each step he took as I mimicked like a robot. Amazing how much control his mere touch and scent had on me. He slowed and it threw me off slightly. I stutter-stepped and then calmed my paws’ actions. His breathing became louder and for a movement I thought he felt that crazy thing too. As he picked up pace though, I kept my wonderings to myself and remained quiet. I small glow danced on my eyelids and I opened them in instinct, stopping my walk. It felt like a dream had been shattered and a whole other world had been opened. It seemed as if the bright light came from the cave roof. It went so far up that I had crane my neck to look for an opening.

A small tarn of water lay motionless and beside glowing creatures resided. My audits perked forward in curiosity and excitement. I had never seen these creatures before in my life. I felt his side bump into mine and I shook my head, breaking from my reverie and keeping my eyes locked on him. The light danced off of his fur and created gorgeous streaks that popped out brighter than the squirming creatures below. He didn’t share this with anyone? I felt a light flutter inside and I narrowed my eyes at the feeling skeptically. Shifting my sunny irises back to the pool, I let an easy grin slide onto my kissers. “Yes I can swim. The question is can you keep up once I’m in the water?” As soon as I finished speaking he charge at the water like a torpedo. The water consumed him and for a moment it grew still. I cocked my head to the side and waited for him to pop back up. I couldn’t wait to see those eyes again. As if by command, his head broke through the top of the liquid crystal and I smiled at him again. His laughter broke through the bits of darkness like a light and I soaked it up. It wasn’t fake like earlier, it was real. I couldn’t help but laugh in return, the joyous melody soaring through the air as I chased after it and launched into the water over him.

The cool fluid cooled me instantly and covered my in serenity. I let the water engulf me. I was in dire need of a bath anyways. I kicked my legs and propelled myself to the water’s surface, inhaling deeply. I grinned, flashing white canines and searched for Knyghte, as I found the gentleman, I shook my head slightly, attempting to get some of the water off but the action was pointless. At least I managed to get some water on him. Kicking my feet gently, I began swimming circles around him. My head was high and I dove under the water again. The water’s fingers caressed my fur gently and untangled all my knots. It was like another world here and I began to wonder why I had never explored here before. This was a marvelous place and I was honored to have it shared with me. As I resurfaced yet again, I shifted my cobalt gaze to him. He was a marvelous brute and I was honored that he would share his presence with me.

“How’d you find this place? It’s glorious. I’m glad you shared this with me. I swam in place as I kept my eyes on him, waiting for his reply. I wondered how long this will last, this happiness between us. I wondered if he had something he needed to do. The idea of him leaving saddened me greatly. I frowned slightly before hiding my emotions. I was good at that, concealing my feelings. I turned my gaze to the colorful crawlers nearby again. Curious as to what their purpose was. Maybe it was to be a light in darkness. Then I wondered what my purpose was and if nothing happened out of coincidence then what was the purpose of this meeting? I turned to him again; it seemed every time I looked at him I was entranced instantly. I offered another smile. “What are you thinking about? You think in a way that I cannot.” I hoped he understood my nonsense. I always spoke such idiocy and it killed me to know how unimportant my words were, yet I liked saying them. There was just something about words that created a fill in any hole of life.
