At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Being the social girl she was, Whispers was quite used to reading people. As she had conversations with various wolves she would often study their faces. It was a wolf thing to do, after all, learn body language and physical cues. The more opportunities to watch for certain things, the better you got at detecting them. However, she was also almost always used to dealing with wolves on a more formal basis. She could pick up little hints of things like his temperament, or humor, but he was definitely a new flavor to her. Not that it was a negative at all. She quite liked a challenge. Especially after being with literally only her twin for a few weeks now. She loved her brother, but the break was a very good idea.

That was why she was there. She wondered for a moment about her company. He obviously had a story, as she had learned, everyone did. What was his? What events had led up to him crossing her path this day in Staircase Falls? He didn't really look scraggly, or unclean anymore than your typical wolf might be. He was either a natural pack wolf or a loner that happened to take very good care of himself. Her money was on pack wolf, or at least that he'd spent some time in a pack. One around here? Or was he even from Blossom Forest at all? There was so much she was already speculating and they had known each other an entire two minutes now. All in due time. She quieted her mind while he spoke up once again.

“Is that my sarcasm detector I hear?” A comment to which she simply quirked a brow, waiting for what would no doubt be the rest of some snarky quip. “I mean, I think I've found one of those dashing, pale coated, tall boys” Her dark brown gaze averted to where he gestured. Some old geezer limping it's way through the area. Her brow lowered into a somewhat 'are you serious' expression while he finished by commenting how 'sexy' the elder rogue was. Her head cocked curiously and her eyes shifted back to him.

“Oh, I wasn't aware you were interested in males...” A sly smirk appeared in the corner of her faux surprise “...but hey, if that's your thing, don't let lil' ol me hold you back.”

The grumpy old male stared their direction for a moment before he began walking away. Whispers pushed herself up to a sitting position before nudging the male playfully with her paw.

“Well don't let your man get away.” She teased.
