At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Fear was so petty. Why she had ever allowed herself to feel it in the first place was beyond her. Her mother probably would have given her a good lashing if she'd been present, smelling what Eric smelled and watching her first few minutes of interaction with the beast. She'd shoved rationality out the door after making that comment pertaining to him being an ass. Perhaps not the wisest move she'd ever gone through with, but then again, wisdom kind of went with rationality and she'd kissed that good bye for the time being. After all, who uses rationality when they're talking to a wolf that they just watched lap blood from a dead wolf? If he was insane, wasn't she at liberty to delve into that side of things too?

The fake pain on his face at her words was just as mocking as it was amusing. He obviously didn't think much of her so far. She hadn't exactly given him reason to either. Not yet anyway. But that was about to change. As he lept forward and snapped his jaws just mere millimeters from her muzzle, she didn't flinch but instinctively pulled ehr lips back and growled while turning her body to put force behind her if she had to attack. When he backed off, she kept the pearly revelation up a little longer, though not accompanied by audio as her first response was. To die for, eh? That's what his words said but something in her mind told her that he had no plans currently, to kill her. He would have done it just now if he had intended to. All words and gestures but no real actions. She was tempted to do the same to him but actually aim for hitting flesh but not all of her brains had walked out on her. Instead, she lets her lips relax and stares him down as he decides to grace her with his name.

Eric. What kind of a name was that? It wasn't scary and it certainly didn't make her want to crawl into the deepest, darkest hole she could find and pray for her life like she first had when she had approached him. Tor knows if he was in a battle looking all big and badass, he could let out a mighty growl and say, "I'm Eric and you're going to die now." She almost laughed out loud at the thought, something that probably wouldn't have been to her benefit. Literally biting her tongue to keep from snorting, she steered ehr mind away from his name and focused on his obnoxious tendency to ignore personal space. Once more standing stock still, she listened as he asked where she was from.

The answer came instantly to her mind, but it wasn't the answer he would want to hear. After all, her first response was the name of her burnt down home land, the one that her family had fled to avoid being consumed by the fire as everything else that had stayed had been. No, the name he was searching for was Andere Seite. She wondered to herself just how long she could stay silent before he decided to bite her, but she didn't feel in the mood to return home with blood loss. And to think this had all started as a simple stroll to relieve her boredom. Sighing as if exasperated like she had given in to whatever terror he thought he was still enveloping her in, she answered him.

"Andere Seite, oh bloody one. Oh wait, I can't call you that since you took a bath..."

Ok, so maybe all of her intelligence had flown the coop, but it wasn't fair for him to tease her and have the fun be one sided. Who knows, maybe she'd learn to duck.
