The multi colored dog walked around mindlessly. He had made it a goal of his to learn more about the mountain. It's history interested him. Texas was still a young fellow, hardly in his teenage years but quite mature for his age. His interest for the mountain's history grew day by day. He had learned once about the ranks by the Collie, Toric. It was a nice day to remember, that day. He often wished he could have asked more about the mountain but time had flown so fast, he could hardly remember most of it.

As he made his way through the thickets that only grew thicker as you went along, Texas hummed a quiet tune to himself. Texas had grown quite happy ever sense he was introduced to the clear world with his new pair of spectacles that sat upon the bridge of his nose. Looking through the lenses now, Texas noticed a familiar face popping out of the river just ahead. His smile grew to a grin as he lopped over.

"Toric!" He called, his smile so wide his eyes were squeezed shut by his cheeks. Once he was able to calm himself and relax his face, an inhuman noise was choked from the back of his throat. "Ahhhh!" He cried, jumping back in fear of the strange creature that emerged from the river. "TORIC GET OUT OF THE WATER!" He scampered towards the old dog, hoping to be able to help him, only to fly back once more. What in tarnation were those black things growing off his ligaments?

A lump grew in his throat. When he tried to speak, nothing but a noise that resembled a squeaky toy was choked up. What was happening to the elderly dog and why was Texas the only one freaking out? Did the collie not even notice the beast behind him? Or the fins that seemed to be attached to him? The odds of the later were very low. He may be an older chap but even he would notice gills growing off his arms and legs. Texas shivered, the heat from his body all of the sudden vanishing from his body. Why didn't anything make sense?!
