At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Once more, she had found her way here, stumbling, bleeding, victorious but not feeling much like a champion. Displaying many new wounds and some older but still just as painful, there was something else she bore, though it was not physically visable. A title. Alpha. It was reserved for leaders, for those who stepped up and provided a role model for others. Not for Lliw. Yet she had fought for the title and was walking away from Quarrels Clearing with this invisible label now attached to her, a string in the universe that attached her to Spring Grounds pack despite having never really been to the land, save from challenging at the border. The psychological weight of this fact almost made it harder to move than her physical damage. For now though, she had shoved the thought away, burying it so she could deal with the pain of having muscles ripped, nerves pinched, and blood lost. She had never been particularly good at multitasking, so the only way she would get through this was one step at a time. The pack wasn't going anywhere, so she could worry about that new aspect fo her life later. Now she was heading back to Staircase Falls once again with the intention of cleaning herself up and attempting to look presentable. At least as much as one mangled wolf could.

Limping and trying rather hard not to black out like she had last time, the going was slow. Her front right shoulder was shredded and the leg at the moment was rather usless. Strike that, she could walk on it...if she was insane. But she wasn't, so instead, she moved ever so snail like to avoid making anything worse. It took her the better half of a day to get there and by the time she managed to reach the pool she had lived around the last time, collapsing was her first priority, finding the first comfortable position she could and closing her eyes. She let out a sigh of relief and let the pain take hold, washing over her in waves. It radiated out from the open wounds, flowing thorugh the bruising and permiating to the parts of ehr body that weren't actually injured but were now thumping with the dull ache of soreness. The feeling that someone was watching her had been nagging her since she had turned ehr back on the clearing where she had fought Jaida, but it didn't seem all that important. Now, with her eyes closed, maybe whoever it was would blow their covering, thinking she was asleep. She may pose an easy target with the numerous injuries she had right now, but she wasn't about to go out without a fight. She had worked much too hard to survive recently to let some interloper swoop in and steal away what little vitality she had left.
