Corae moved quickly towards the light outside the cave. It was late in the day, and the evening was turning out to be a hot one, so she dreaded leaving the cool darkness where she felt she belonged. The boulders especially deeper within we're just as rough and unforgiving as she was, and she often held that as an advantage. She then began to list off all the things she counted as advantageous, trying to convince her self that she didn't need to leave.

Then there was a slashing pain from behind, and she turned to see the jagged edge she had cut herself on. Same one, every time... she growled to herself. She padded on, slower now due to the slight injury. And in the silence that trailed her slowness, The Feys alert ears picked up a near silent breathing from the shadows.

Corae tensed, someone was there waiting. Waiting for her? Unlikely, but it was waiting. She prepared herself for anything to come out of those shadows, prepared to not care, act feminine, or fight.
