The variety of responses and reactions she had received from everyone had been interesting to say the least. Eric had enjoyed her joking comments while Quirino was quietly stewing in his own immaturity coupled with unresolved anger since Cade had denied him his public temper tantrum for the time being. Damon's siblings had slowly begun to filter in one by one and it seemed, if one was truly paying attention, that the shadowy wolf's spirits sunk lower every time a new one showed up, let alone spoke. The poor guy looked like he was losing it. But Cade wasn't really observing his slow crumble. Instead, the lady had mounted an attack upon the first youngster to feed her paranoia. She hadn't asked for a name and she hadn't given the girl any warning before tackling her to the ground and shoving her around like she was no more than a rag doll. In comparison of age and strength, she really wasn't a match for the self-acclaimed alphess.
Peering down at the wolf beneath her, Cade's mismatched gaze searched the haughty little piece of work that she was pressing into the dirt for any tell tale signs, even the slightest twitch, that would give her confirmation. The increased number of comments about buffets and food hadn't been totally lost on the occupied ess as the other vampires shuffled in. One even dared to comment about Cade's lack of presence on the rock that Qui had so rudely kicked her off of. In response, Cade looked away from the obnoxious teen to make eye contact with her sister and spit out a reply.
"I don't need a perch to kick your ass, so shut your mouth."
It had only taken her but a moment to let the words fly before she refocused her gaze on Sakari but the second their gazes met again, the little twit did something most unexpected. She licked Cade. Licked her. Licked. Her. In sheer shock, Cade's skull pulled back and for a second, her paws gave a momentary relief on the girl's shoulders before her weight fell back down, probably resulting in an uncomfortable added force on the lass' smaller frame. The shock faded and replaced itself with a mixture of intrigue and anger. The strange little creature beneath her had had the gumption to lick her and it oddly reminded Cade of herself when she was a pup. Hell, it reminded Cade of how she was now. The front of being the "big bad leader" was doing jack for her and the fact that Sakari had just licked her in front of everyone was proof of that. As for the anger, well, Cade hated being humiliated and she was determined to make an example out of this female yet. Lips curling back, Cade made a quick jab forward with her snout, delivering a nip to the girl's nose. It wasn't enough to be damaging really, perhaps drawing a bit of blood and in the very least giving her something to complain about before she pushed off of Sakari's shoulders, intentionally pressing them a little harder into the dirt in order to back off from the she-wolf. Having ended the ordeal, the crimson and ivory lass looked around at the other siblings who had arrived, along with a few other wolves who had been previous members of Andere. Cade's mismatched globes settled on Damon for a moment more, registering the mixture of embarrassment and anger that bubbled on his feature. And Cade couldn't help but laugh. It was a rather joyful and giggly noise as she let the stupid facade of her mother go. She wasn't Seline and ruling her mother's way obviously wasn't working because let's face it, Cade wasn't Seline and never would be. Laughter subsiding, she directed some words at Damon.
"Wow Damon, I feel sorry for you. Your siblings are pretty stupid...glad mine has never stooped that low. But anyway, business. I have a question for you. You do know that if I catch any of your siblings draining a member of this pack, I or any other member will kill them on site, understand?"
She still wasn't certain that they were vampires, though if the tension rolling off of Eric was any indication, they indeed were, but Cade had also posed her question as a stab in the dark. If Damon responded in an acknowledging fashion to her cue word of "draining," then her doubts would be quelled and while she may not sleep well with the thought that vampires whom she didn't trust were roaming her lands, she would at least be satisfied with the knowledge that they were about and to keep an eye on them. Turning towards the rock again, she made to jump up on the edge where Qui's body had left just enough room to do an awkward balancing trick but intentionally overshot to land on him and reclined so that she was sitting on his shoulders. It most likely looked awkward but she knew that telling Quirino to move wouldn't convince him to do any such thing and trying to haul him off the rock was more likely to result in Cade falling flat on her ass in front of everyone. So awkwardly playing king of the rock on top of the so called king was her best bet. Meeting everyone's gaze, her eyes alight with the kindred spirit of her own being instead of the maturity act she'd tried, she waited for Damon's response and found herself distracted by Tyson. The pup she had let slide earlier was playing with a beetle, looking cute, something that Cade was kind of disturbed by. Andere was no place for cuteness. Staring at him, Cade cleared her throat and spoke at him.
"Hey kid, you want to do something impressive, you should try to bite Quirino's ear and get away with it."
Maybe he'd take it to heart and entertain everyone, though Cade had to say she'd be disappointed if the fun died along with the kid.
