At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

It seemed that once the vixen had come out of one trance she was sucked into another, near enough after he had explained about the rules he lived by. He could see the cogs in her brain ticking and turning; trying to figure out why. His eyes focused on the curves of her lips, quivering as though she was about to ask a question. No doubt about his past. If the soldiers found him, she may have found out a bit more about his past than he wanted her to know; than she needed to know.

The lass swerved round on the brute to face him. Ly could tell that something in her mind had changed. Maybe his rule had kicked something into place in her brain that made her think about what she was to say around him. Of course he wouldn’t hurt her... But she didn’t know that for sure, did she. The quiet didn’t last for long as the lass decided she would reply to his comment about packs. “I’m sure you will. I was just giving you a little advice.” The lad grumbled slightly. He listened as the princess recalled what her mother and father used to say. He listened as she brought up the subject of mates. A touchy subject to the brute but he listened none the less. “Do you not want a mate?” He could understand if she didn’t want a mate right now but surely she would want one in the future, wouldn’t she? That was what females wanted wasn’t it? The lad sighed as he caught the lass’ eye.

Now the conversation was on packs she asked about his rank. Being a Beta was honourable to Lycaon. Since he was a pup he had patrolled the borders with his father, watching and learning the ways of the pack. The devil had dreamed of becoming a Beta- just like his father- since the very first time he had patrolled with his Dad. When his father got to old and he was appointed the role, it was a dream come true. He had trained hard with his father and had built up his strength and mind. He had surpassed his father and was even better than he was. At the start he was just getting to know the rank but in the weeks after that he started getting more into his rank and that was when the Alpha became greedy with power. No matter how much he had he wanted more. That was when Lycaon became the mindless killing machine that so many feared. “Being a Beta is a hard job. There is lots you need to do.” A growl made the brute look up. Obviously she was not happy with her father’s decision. Lycaon hadn’t thought much about joining a pack. He hadn’t been in Blossom for long and the only reason he was here was because he was trying to get away for the demons following him. He might not have even been staying in Blossom long. Maybe he was just passing through. He would have to wait and see. “I haven’t really thought about it.” He wasn’t sure if he was ready to join another pack, what with him still being full of rage. A new Alpha may just ignite something inside him that could make him flip and that wouldn’t get him anywhere would it?

Lycaon had started to train his eldest son, the same way his father had trained him. His son was just as fascinated with becoming a Beta as he was when he was younger. The brute was also in charge of training up new recruits- soldiers if you will. ‘Tips?’ ‘Got any tips?’ The lad took a deep breath in. “You have to make sure you are the best of the best.” The lad though back to when his father was training him. “You need to make sure you have strength and stamina and depending on the pack, you need to make sure you can forget what you have done. Don’t fester on the past.” That was something the lad had learnt the hard way. The first time he had killed, he nearly died from the pain and guilt but he was so bothered about impressing his Alpha he kept going. He had to learn to forget or he would die. After a few weeks he had lost all emotions and that is how he had stayed.

Although the monster loved his name and was proud to carry it as his title he had never really thought it was interesting. It was just a title to him. Now he thought about it, it was quite unique. The lad just managed to catch the mumbled word that escaped into the atmosphere. She said it so gently it was hard to make out but the demon managed to piece it together somehow. ‘Ala, Aba, Ada? No thats not right.’ The lad paused for a second trying to think of what it could be. ‘Aza. That was it Aza.’ “Thats a unique name. Not heard of many Aza’s in my time.” It made him sound old... Extremely old but he wasn’t. Far from actually. “Look if you’re serious about getting a high rank in a pack I could train you up if you would like?”
