Magic watched as the brute circled her, tail thumbing slightly on the ground. "You haven't talked much, have you? 'For' seems to be in your vocabulary." She listened to his words, thinking about them before she answered. "Well, Shadow, I believe it is a pleasure to meet the wolf watching me from the brush. My name is Magic." She looked around, watching the brute, head moving with his body. She looked up at the sky, and the moon seemed to get brighter in response. The wind brushed out some leaves that fell from the forest and washed them over her paws and into the river.

She blushed when he complimented her, and she hoped the night covered her face. She stood again; her tail flicking the ground. She noticed how his eyes reflected the moon. "I understand that the night is your friend, as it is mine. It taught me the way to express myself because some wolves, undoubtedly you know, don't understand the shadows. Why be shy when you're at home?" She waited as the silence suggested to swamp them again, which she hoped would not do exactly that. "Let me ask you a question," she asked, observing that his pelt was indeed an intense black. She thought hard for a question, which swallowed her before the brute showed himself, and she was wondering why they weren't showing up again.

"Have you ever seen the light of the day? The way the light doesn't get too bright after the moon crawls back into its bed? The way it touches onto the dewy grass, spreading the magic of orange and barely keeping the darkness at bay? Have you listened to the birds chirp in response? If I could chose a home forever, the time of day it dwelled in, it would be that time, then sleep during the bright hours of the sun's rein, though it is not as bad as it may seem. Then awaken and live in the thought of balance. Does that make any sense at all? Is it understandable?" She waited for a moment. She did not have that hope in her eyes that most feyas starved for; understanding. She just wanted to know where the wolf's heart lay. A kind of way to see the wolf's perpective and judgement, like her old lover. She pushed the though of Glitch away, waiting for Shadow's response.
