Ani ran quickly alongside the river. Her pawsteps were light on the damp soil, leaving very faint prints in the earth. She could almost pretend she could outrun the river. She stopped quickly and let out a bark of laughter when she almost skidded in to the water. She shook out her pretty light brown fur and closed her eyes contentedly as the white blaze on her chest caught the warm sunlight. She deeply inhaled the refreshing air and opened her gorgeous blue eyes. Ani took in her surroundings with quiet interest. She sat down and bent to lap a few sips of water from the river. She just loved roaming the forest on her own. She loved her brother Keenan, but he could be so protective at times. She wondered about the rumors about the river. Every wolf was supposed to be able to find love there. She wasn't sure if it was true, but she was curious enough to give it a shot. Maybe her perfect match would just come strolling by.
