Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

See I'm just too scared to tell you the truth
Cause my heart - it can't take anymore

He had not been there when Isola told Kane that he would be her mate - but he is neither blind nor stupid, for all that those who looked in on him believed he was. He had severed his faith in his brothers for their criticism of his accepting Kane - truly believing them to be betraying him in saying such things. Jehu had laughed, had snorted and made comments on she would castrate him without lifting a paw against him. Bedwyr had tried to use his ire against the leucistic male for letting Kane take what was his - his throat still ached from the choke hold the golden brother had held him to the ground by. Weylin had stared on with a painful grimace, torn by his need to save the white male and put the strength back into his lowest brothers pride.

He had felt sorry to remove himself from their company - but they would only become more bitter with time if he had allowed them to think he could be ‘saved‘. From what? From the woman who made his world light up with a simple shift in her step? He lays now under a bow not far from where Kane and she sit. He has never been far - never let her out of his sight when he was yet awake enough to see. “They shall not be able to stay away, --” He stops himself, pink eyes shifting to Kane as he stops from calling her the names he does when Kane cannot hear to become jealous. Moon-Mother, Silverlight, my goddess, dearest one… He knows it would only pain Isola to see Kane react to the adoration and so he does not speak more.

He turns his gaze from them then, the leaning pair, and onto the place where many others would gather. They would pay homage to the queen of all that is good and pure and whole. They would all bow before Helen of Troy, before Aphrodite, before Venus, before the Moon-Mother, before the Great Spiritess. They would bow because Kane was at her side and would command it be so. They would bow because those who did not would find the white hot fury of The Quicksilver slicing into their throats and bellies.
