Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Magice panted slightly as she reached the peak of the mountain ledge. She was young, but it had been a steep climb in the frosty air. Even now every breath provided a fading cloud of frost as she walked carefully along the edge. She looked out across the forest from her perch high up in the mountains. The view took her breath away. The trees were like silent guardians standing so still. The river snaked its way across the landscape, a glittering clear ribbon winding this way and that. She was a little sad. Since her father fought off a bear to save his family's lives, he had broken his leg and would never be able to make such a difficult climb. He would never see the land laid out so perfectly in front of him like she could.
She absently wondered where the rest of her family was. Her father was resting unhappily in their den near Blossom Fields. Frost Love must have been with the other pups, Black Light, Sweet Love, Darkfang, and Storm Rose. Magice was the oldest and a teen now so she had more freedom. She didn't like leaving her father alone for too long, but he had insisted that she make some friends of her own and stop worrying.
So there she was, sitting on the mountain ledge, her black fur standing out against the snowy rocks as her blue eyes looked around. She hoped she would be able to watch the sunset.
