During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The gaze that the knight had held with her own suddenly fell to the terra. Kobato’s breath hitched. Was he alright? His voice penetrated her concerns once more, but it was obvious that she was trying to figure him out… he wasn’t hurt was he? Excuse me… Miss Kobato she smiled a little more, prepared to tell him to drop the formalities, but he kept on going, so she shushed herself and waited her turn. A knight, you said? Do you mean a warrior, or a fighter, for the terra? And… what is a Serryberry? The giggle that came catapulting through her larynx could not be held down. Her eyes closed as her chest gave home to laughter.
Kobato. Not MISSS. Gosh. C’mon say it with me. Kohh-baaah-toe. And a Serryberry is a Serryberry! He’s a grumpy old thing, he is. He’s got a foul mouth and an even worse temper. But just because he acts that way doesn’t mean he’s a horrible thing… Serryberry is actually very good. He’s the one who I chose to heal the heart of! Her tassel picked back up its familiar waggling and she thought a little bit on his other question before opening her mouth to answer once again. Hmmm… Set and Rise are knights… though I’m not quite sure how to describe what one is. Set is strong and Rise is kind. So—strong and kind… brave too! She hesitated for a moment, thinking again, and then spilling more libretto. I believe there are many different ways of being brave, actually. It does not always mean running into the spears of others… I think choosing between what is right and what is wrong can also be considered brave. Even speaking, in its own way, is brave. Her thoughtful expression changed, and she shifted her weight, smiling again. I am sure you are brave in some way!

Her words were interrupted by the arrival of a phantom. Her toffee optics enlarged instantly and the smile swept off her palette. As soon as she made eye contact with the black demon, she turned her head away, looking down at the ground, her jaw bones showing beneath her skin. Her teeth were grinding in anxiety. She hadn’t yet spoken to Serris since she had gotten well… she had run off before he or she could say anything. It was a feeling of abandonment that caused her to do this… but that was childish (she knew so) and unacceptable. She would have to speak with him sometime. “The only knight you’ll become is one singed by the dragon.” He pushed in between her and Aindreas and she backed up instantly, careful as to not touch him. It was not that she was angry with him. She was afraid that he would leave her. Leave her again. Of course, she could always go chasing after him (as she had always done), but… often times… girls do not have the strength or mindset to keep chasing something that will not be theirs to keep.“Let me make something clear for you, boy. You came to my borders, and therefore I will give you a choice. You may either ask to join or die by my fangs. But, if I discover any other ulterior motive, trust me when I say that choice will no longer be yours.” As she had told the newcomer: Don’t be afraid; even now, she doubted that he would be able to take such advice from her smiling face in the midst of the King. “Care to introduce yourself? Kobato’s toffee stargazers shivered as she looked up and to the side of the black wall blocking her partially from Aindreas. Why was Serris so stingy today? Her optics ran over his bodice and she inhaled sharply. He, like herself, was skinny beyond belief. Especially for Serris. She turned her head away from him...THIS WAS RIDICULOUS. She couldn’t keep doing this… what if he felt as if he were not cared for! Trust it to be Kobato to think such a thing and do her best to turn it around. A smile, as true as she could raise it to be, filled her kissers and she rubbed up against the male who had interrupted her conversation with the loner. Her desert rose pelt intertwined with his own, their scents mingling together even though his had always stuck to hers in a caring sort of way.

Serryberry! You are so silly… there are no such thing as dragons—and we most certainly do not have one! She chuckled teasingly. Just then, her nose twitched and she pulled away, sniffing and then scrunching up her radar. EWWWW. Serryberry! When was the last time you took a baaath? Kobato was not commenting on his stench per-say. Rather… the one that also held on like an insistent lover to his own cologne. Unlike Ko’s soft and sweet one, it reminded her of a whole garden of wilting roses… strong and (to her) repulsing. She laughed whole-heartedly and then began to speak again, smiling in the direction of the newcomer and opening her maw to spill out more libretto. Her shoulder bumped up against the taller tsar's, her head only reaching his collar bone... This is Aindreas... he's my friend.

In a way... Kobato had shown her own bravery....
