The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Zev carefully walked through the cavern in silence, waiting for the feya to respond. His eyes provided small amounts of gray that touched up the shear black. It surprised him again when Sierra spoke, and Zev found that we was zoned out once more. He nodded to himself when she replied that his name was quite straightforward. It seemed right, however. The way it flowed smoothly from a wolf's mouth was quite a treat. He also loved the way it was easy to say and point out, unlike other names around the bend. They continued to walked together in silence as the air drifted around them. Listening to her voice, he replied, "Yes, same as do I. The darkness can be a wonderful thing, but even wolves cannot penetrate its harshness if it wishes to overrule all other sources of light." Zev hated being deep with the wolves he did not know very well. It seemed out of place to say such a thing and then have the other wolf need to size him up. He hoped Sierra would not mention it. He confirmed it to himself when the fae clarified her age. It would have been very rude to ask it, not saying that he wanted to know. He was just curious.

He understood her when she asked for a pardon. Zev had not been with another wolf since he was a teen. Not as long as she had, but almost the same amount. He knew he wasn't quite as uncomfortable than the fae, but that nothing to rub in someone's face. He kept listening as she kept talking. This wolf was unique, he concluded. The way she described her fur was very descriptive, the way she said brown streaks ran through her undercoat. He respected that she didn't want to brag or anything about her fur, but sometimes it is fine to feel proud about the way you are. "Don't be silly. You can brag all you want with me. I truly don't care if you think your fur is brighter than mine or anything, not saying you think it. Feel good about yourself, because you are yourself only once."

There. He did it again. Speaking with his heart around people he didn't think suited the conversation. "Pardon my speech. Sometimes I am formal, when I try not to be." They continued in silence, and it didn't seem right to say anything because of how comfortable it was. The air seemed to flow more violently, and a drop of water landed on Zev's nose. He shook it away and then stopped. The passage was getting thinner, not turning into an opening as he had thought. "Let's go this way," he said, striving to cure his curiosity. They had to walk in single-file, so Zev chose to walk ahead, not trying to be protective in any way but because he chose the direction. The walls started pushing in and he put one paw right in front of where the other stepped. His ears flickered. trying to pick up any sounds in the silence.
