Life was not kind to the young boy clad in shadow and silver. I may have been cozy in the confines of mymind, in a haze of foggy grass, but that would not save me from the dangers of the outside world. There was a nothingness in the other side that I enjoyed, but it seems this was going to be cut short. I had not thought that Caligula would follow me anywhere I went. I knew my sister did not like me, for completely unknown reasons. I had done nothing to incur her wrath yet she made it crystal clear how she disliked me. She was fine and dandy with Tess, they seemed to be oddly close but I knew not how other relationships formed. I spent so much time alone, alone or with my father and I knew so little of the outside world. I was no proper prince for his mother, that was for sure. She had her other children though, that should be good enough.
I heard a rustling near by, my mind could never seem to get away completely from reality. Life was just not that kind. I was not completely awake now though, I was stuck in between. I heard it come closer, I have a certain indifference about the world around me, I have hopes whoever this was would just wander on past me and leave me alone. yet...as I lay the sound only grows closer, so subtle and I am unsure if they are close or not. My mind begins to tug at me, telling me to come back to the real world and I partially want to refuse, and yet my instinct still holds onto me. Great. Seems like someone is here and I have to put my attention towards it. As I come back into my body, the scent floods my nostrils and I feel my heart stop for a moment.
Why would she be here? There is really no reason for her to follow me, for her to be standing over me right now but I know she is. I smell her scent lingering in the air above, I hear hear slight breath above my body and I know this cannot be good. I am used to seeing her teeth, the threatening look she gives me when no one is looking...but surly she wouldn't do anything? I do not know though, and I know I do not trust her and probably never will. My black fur begins to stand on my neck, I know she is close...too close and close to a sensitive spot. I wonder if she is going to attack me, I see the blood lust in her eyes when she looks at me and it would not surprise me honestly. She is on the side of my bad eye though, I cannot see if I did open my eyes. So I twitch, head suddenly moving to block my neck, but I also need to see, so it made it so when I opened my dull golden eyes, I could actually see her form, snarling as the wicked demon she is. I am not like her. I may not find must reason in life, purpose to be one way or another but there is this inherit thing built within me that says I will not be like her...maybe I won't say this after my encounter with her.
I try my best to push myself away from her. I sense her blood lust, it is like a thick cloud surrounding us, something vile and unsightly and it isn't coming from me. I do not growl at her, I will not be the initiator. Her body language paints a clear picture and I see no need o speak. She may be mute, but I am quite partially by choice, partially by circumstances growing up. I tensed my frame, my long silver limbs that I have yet to completely grow into, waiting for her move. Maybe she is just trying to intimidate me, but there is always the chance she meant for more. I could only wait and stay on my toes, ready to react with great instinct to whatever movement she makes. If she wants blood, she is going to have to work for it.
