Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

He had to give it to her; she'd grown to be quite something but still, she had such a strange aura about herself. She was not as she had been in her youth but what had he expected, really? Almost three years had gone by but still, he felt good in her company, his gaze fixated upon hers, admiring the way the light reflected from gold to blue. They were just as unusual as she was but in that moment, he could not have hoped for anything more than the oddball that was his betrothed. He, too, felt his tail sway and thump behind him as if he had no choice, eyes catching every subtle movement of Seren - the way her pelt moved in the breeze or the way her ears twisted just that tiny bit more towards him. It had been a long time since somebody had paid him such attention. Even his father had not been so purely enthralled by him the day they had found one another once more. No, Seren was the first.

She moved slowly beside him and he almost flinched once more as he felt her weight shift against him - if he could have, he would have blushed but instead, he was forced to find solace in the sound of his heartbeat suddenly kicking into overdrive. It was ... so strange to have another so close - a girl at that! He knew it was supposed to be in such a way and yet, it did not put him at ease. He tried his best to remain composed but his features found a whole new way to look nervous, his head twisted to face her as she leaned in to lick at his muzzle - he returned the action, unable to resist it. It felt right, even if his entire body went mad with both excitement and nervousness. It was hard enough to stop himself from shaking let alone to resist the urge to give her some small token of affection back - he'd been unable to for so long, it was only right that he did it now. He starred towards her, lips pulled back into a toothy grin - she starred back, and even as her features remained flat and stagnant... he could feel some kind of happiness radiating from her. Perhaps he would just have to try harder to get her features to break, huh?

He moved to speak but suddenly she stepped back, a motion that he attempted to follow her through, shifting slightly on his belly and reaching for her with his muzzle. No, he did not wish for her to leave - he liked her... warmth, too. It was nice to have another beside him, to have somebody close. He whined beneath his breath before shaking his head, it too tilted as he looked pleadingly up at her.

"You can touch all you like; please, lay down. We can share each others warmth," he motioned beside him, pawing at the earth in a beckoning motion.

"There is so much I wish to know about you, my Seren."
