Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I read the rules before I broke 'em
I broke the chains before they choked me out

He was almost a year old. ALMOST A YEAR OLD! he was getting bigger, much bigger and by the size of his paws he was far from finished growing. He would continue, his legs growing taller, his body bulking up to the most expansive, largest wolf probably within Glorall. He would be a hug boy when he was finished growing and he had Selene to thank mostly for that, her hunting for him had kept him rather well fed and the fact that he was learning from her had made it all that much more better. When he'd heard Weylin's call to arms he'd been sleeping next to the water, not to far from where Weylin's call came from, the sun warm against his dark brown coat thanks to winter had gotten rather fluffy and darker than normal. When spring would hit he'd lighten up to a golden honey brown, tickled pink that he would be a year old soon he had been planning what he would do. Would he head out to the outter area's of this world of theirs, and check out all the cool things that could be found there?

Since Weylin had brought him home, he had yet to leave Glorall, other than with Selene to practice fish hunting skills just before fall took over and winter brought down it's white puffy nature. He loved the snow, bounding through it, to create what he calls dog angels, were he rolls in the snow from side to side. He likes to think that he leaves behind an angel. He does, his mother and siblings. He thinks of them often now, what it would have been like to have them all here in Weylin's pack, to be one big happy family even if their father would probably never return to them. But none of them would return, and he always had to tell himself that although he missed them very much he had a new family to watch over, to take care of, to protect. And protect them he would.

As the call is brought forth Mortz jumps up from his sleep, legs splayed, he'd only closed his eyes for a few moments to catch a rest while he watched the waters for more fish, he wanted to make sure he knew when they would be back so he could re-continue his lessons of fishing. There had to be fish here he'd thought to himself when he'd come and sat down a few hours ago, but since then he had seen none and with sleepy eyes had fallen asleep. Now wide awake he heard Ajax's happy reply back to Weylin and gave a few good yips, his bark still not fully there yet. Like a shot he took off, bounding over snow drifts like no body's buisness. Until he found one to tall for him, but like a true puppy nothing was to big for him, atleast in his own head. With an exuberant yip and a pop of his body he seemed ready to fly over the snow drift like a deer jumping a fence (very impressive like), he saw Ajax and lost focus and with his front paws he hit the top of the snow drift and went tumbling down the other side until he slid to a stop at the base with his paws splayed and his head flopped against the ground. He looked rather sad laying there.

But seeing Weylin and the others cheered him up instantly, he jumped up with all the childish nature he could contain in his large puppy frame and bounced over to them as if nothing had really happened at all. A little joker some might say, but he has his serious moments too. Lets not forget meeting those strange wolves who thought to intrude on their home. "DADDY!" he yells at the top of his lungs, bumping into Ajax as he passes a loopy smile falling across his face as he lunges into the air and curls his body against Weylin's legs before looking up at him with a goofy smile, his head rolls to the side and tongue lolled out he looks at Selene "Mommy taught me to hunt fish!" he's so excited about all this stuff and he honestly let it slip but it felt really good to him to call someone that again.
