Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Love will still remain

Jaye heard the awkward gait approach her before the scent of her beloved imprint appeared from seemingly nowhere. Jaye's heart fluttered in her chest as the bond they shared brought feelings only Dude could give her. It was amazing that he had come for her when she needed him the most and she knew that his strange powers must have summoned him here. Jaye knew Dude could see and hear things others could not and though she may never understand it she was glad it brought him to her. Dude greeted her warmly and gently as he nuzzled her fur and licked her cheek. Such affection and love made Jaye choke on a lump in her throat as she tried her best to return the greeting. She pressed her head into Dude's chest and whimpered softly as her tail wagged behind her. His heart beat could be heard and it seemed to beat in time with her own. For just a moment, Jaye was able to forget her worries and the growing pain in her own chest as Dude spoke, his voice like honey. He mentioned strange things and though Jaye did not understand most of it, she was able to catch some things. It was true the pack and been thrust into chaos, but Jaye had been content to sit on the side lines and watch the events play out with a smile.

"Yes, perhaps this is a pack of fools. But they are my family and without them... I may not be here today-" But she was interrupted by a fit of coughs at the exact same time Dude mentioned them. It hurt and seemed to rack her entire body and when they had calmed down she panted heavily as she caught her breath. Jaye knew Dude would worry, she was worried herself, but she didn't want it to show. He would know, of course he would know, but that didn't mean she could play dumb. With a soft smile, Jaye turned her head to where she thought Dude would be sitting and wagged her tail. "Yes, sorry, I have had a bit of a cough lately. Nothing to fuss over. Anyways, Dude, how are you. I have not seen you in some time." Sure, Jaye was trying to change the subject but she was also curious as to what her Dude had been up to these past few months. As the hero of all, surely he had been doing something with the others who had helped to save the wolves of Moladion. The Seer some called him, but to Jaye he was simply her beloved Dude and her best friend. Again, she nuzzled him and leaned on him for support as she coughed again and silently waited for his reply.

love gives you pleasure and love gives you pain
and yet when both are gone, love will still remain
