Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Spring. It counted for his third year, and he was still wandering around like a ruffian. But that's how he was raised; to be a gypsy and take no stable home. It wasn't bad, because Sabriel was used to it. He did not want for much, though it made him sad to see Pompeii go. She'd gone to Diveen a bit ago, and he figured that maybe he should go see his almost-mother sometime. The problem with that was the fact that one of his fathers had decided to challenge for the pack. That might make blood relations to the opposer less then welcomed at the pack these days. Sabriel wasn't sure, but he didn't know if he should dare to find out.

He wouldn't do well if attacked; he was no fighter. He was tall, but long limbed and delicate. Girlish, almost, though through no fault of his. He simply looked that way, not acted it. His mannerisms were normal enough for any younger male, he'd suppose. Except for the fact that he didn't chase females at all. He had been promised to a girl, and he honored that fact. Even if he didn't see her, even if she'd been taken away awhile ago. Sabriel hadn't found her since. Sadly, at the time he hadn't yet honed his ability to track scents, and so he hadn't been able to figure hers out to find her again. It bothered him, but he waited. He would wait forever.

Sabriel wandered and waited and searched. He remembers what she looks like -- remembers her name -- but he never asks. He doesn't know what to say. And today he isn't quite thinking of that, he's hunted and there's a rabbit held in his jaws as he moves along with a gently waving tail. It's a good day so far, and he's happy enough. It gets even better as the exact shades and patterns of gray and white reach his gaze. There's a moment of goosebumps that rise along his flesh and prickle his furs, and then he's quick to make his way to her, dropping the rabbit at her feet and prancing in excitement over having found her at last. "Micteca!" Joyful, soft words as he smiles at her, eyes lighted all up.
