Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

”There is no victory with no loss.”
Nose working as I walked through the free lands, searching for someone. Paws carrying my body quickly through dense forests, an ivory stain crossing the places quickly. Oh! I wished to be with my children! The faster I do this, the faster I will go back to them. Why am I even sniffing around? I can’t difference scents! My head raised as I remembered about this little condition. The day was already finishing and I still didn’t find anyone worth of taking the place as warrior of Diveen. I came across a few wolves, but they were stubborn, didn’t want to be part of a pack, or they didn’t have a good heart. I’m looking for a strong wolf with a good heart, but it’s hard to find.

I was about to give up as I was arriving in the center of the mideastern crater. But a golden wolf pup came across my way. It was walking alone in a distance. Surely he couldn’t see me, for I was far to his right. Too far. I stopped in my place and watched the wolf for a few moments. He seemed to be walking with no destiny, kind of lost. He seemed to be a good wolf to take the place as a warrior. A pup would learn fast if I trained him. But I still didn’t know the pup… Would his mother and father agree to that? Would he want to join a pack? And the most important… Was his heart pure? I would have to find out.

I approached, drawing a huge circle around him, to come towards him, facing him. I approached the little wolf, taking note of everything he would do.

- Hello! - I said, as I approached the wolf, coming to a halt in front of him.

There was little I could say. I would have to wait for his answer.
