Mekiko had been trained well. He listened to her, with attentive ears and a careful eye out for anything that seemed amiss in their visit. A moving bush could just be the rustling of the rodents near by, or one looking for him. Her history was sort of similar to his. �I wasn�t tortured,� He said apologetically looking towards Krensno. Mekiko could see that she had a good strong heart. He could see them being a great force of good, for the abandoned, tortured, and the broken. Thoughts of healing filled his brain there could be a great journey. Healing the broken and helping them create a better future. Wait! He thought to himself. What the hell was he getting to. He has just met Krensno, doesn�t even know her that well and already he�s on a innocent saving spree in his head. No the first set was survival, both of theirs.

Mekiko looked at her scars, he hadn�t had it as bad as she did. Suddenly he felt foolish about his crazy paranoia. All this time he�d been looking searching to insure no one was following him. He was the crazy one. Mekiko looked around, there was no one out this beautiful early morning but he and Krensno. �I have been foolish. I realize now that no one is looking for me. I was so afraid that I would be punished for my own stubbornness but it seems you are much stronger than I in that category.�

The ebony brute knew this wasn�t a contest, he was simply trying to convey that he understood. His time for running is over, he wanted her to know that her time had also come. He could make a friendship here. Maybe actually get close to another creature and extend trust. He didn�t trust easily though. He was always afraid that someone would double cross him. He�d only hope she wouldn�t, �We could travel together, what are you in search for?� He asked genuinely curious.
