At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

The brute had been patient and had not rushed her advance to toward the water. One step. His voice was like a warm blanket on a cold dark night, and it had comforted Apollonia and her body’s trembling had subsided. “I promise.” A weak, quivering smile made its way onto her maw, but her concentration on focusing on the brute took away the smile just as easily as it had been made. Finally, Apollonia had made her way into the water and had been surprised when it had not attempt to steal away her life. Quivering between Lycaon’s front legs, Apollonia felt relatively at ease.

However, her comfort in the water was now due to the belief that whatever water demon existed in the water feared Lycaon, thus why it had not attacked him and why it now let her be. Apollonia rubbed her russet pelt against one front tower and shut her eyes, comforted by the titan’s touch. As her lids shut, a memory bubbled up from her mind, the first one that she had remembered since her accident in the river. It was a small one, but it felt important – she had gotten lost one of the first few days after her eyes had opened, and had been sincerely frightened. But one of her parents, which one it had been was blurry, had found her and had brought her back to the den. They had cuddled up together, her parental’s bodice warm and comforting in the cold night. Her savior.

And that was what Lycaon was to Apollonia now. As she looked up and asked him a question, the brute glanced down at the faeling and replied. Now you be proud of yourself. You are stood in the water and have not yet moved out of it. If you carry on like this you will soon make an excellent wolf. His tone carried an air of pride and Apollonia smiled, her small plume wagging back and forth in the water, sending forth tiny ripples outward. If you can, try and go further in. If not then stand here and tell me something happy, that way you will no longer associate the water with bad memories. They will be good memories instead.

Apollonia’s wagging plume ceased and she turned her gaze downward. “Mister… I have no memories.” Apollonia did not mention the one that had come to her just moments before, not knowing if the memory was even a real one or one that her imagination had just made up. Small trembles began to work their way through her tiny bodice once more and she dreaded moving away from his strong soothing warmth. Still, Lycaon was her new role model, and he believed with her, so ergo she wanted to make him proud.

The faeling’s tiny steps moved away from the brute and further into the lake only a few steps until the water was up to her chest. Apollonia stood there a few moments until the chilling cold of the water sent goosebumps forming upon her flesh. The pup turned head to tail and ran back to the brute, rubbing against Lycaon’s tower once more. He was warm in stark contradiction to the cold waters and Apollonia’s kissers smiled once more. Her emeralds glanced skyward, up to Lycaon. “Was… was that… good, Mister Lycaon Sir?” Her shivering caused her high pitched vocals to stutter and hesitate.
