Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

The white snow falls, I cannot see

My movements are light and fluid. Like I'm walking on the surface of water. My soft violet eyes are bright, with the beginnings of a new life in front of me, and I am ready, the fates know that I am ready. This time will be different. There's no wolves from my ex pack to run around and call me a traitor, and to take bites at me every time they see my face, no I won't have to see any of them ever again. Here the word traitor won't roll off every wolf's tongue. I hadn't really betrayed anyone that night a few years ago, I was just trying to save my friend, but well, it hadn't turned out. The light threaded around each strand of my black coat, almost seeming to pulsate in time with the beating of my heart. Anyone back home would know me, just by catching a glimpse. I was distinctive and they all had my features memorized. Like magic, they;d all flock to him and strike. The mark of treason, the three clawed scars running down from my right eye. They were noticeable but not thick, and they s;lanted across my muzzle. Besides that my form was noticeably elegant as all in my pack, my legs long but not stilt like, and with plenty of muscle to help me takle down my enemies, but then again, I really didn't care.

Deep within my eyes is thickly veiled hurt, covered over with a soft understanding and delicate acceptance, as if I understood the hand fate has dealt me, and like it or not, I do indeed understand, and I will live with it. My black fur shivers with the muscles beneath as I throw myself into a lope, my strides fluid and mile eating. I longed to howl as I had when our pack would sing, but my heart told me the time is not yet for such things.

I keep myself moving constantly, movement all flowing into a stride I can't even begin to describe.

At last I am into the forest and surrounded by trees. A sigh leaves my lips, and I slow as my muzzle dives and catches some rodent that scuttled about in the ferns, chewing and cracking the bones, before making it a very quick meal to go. Licking my lips at the taste, I slow my gait more and head for something that vaguely resembles a den, and pause near it and take in the scents. There is the fresh scent of fox, and a fainter scent of a female wolf, and I peek my head within it. There was nobody in and I swished my tail in surprise, though I guess I found a temporary home base.
