During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

This night was brisk; a shrill breeze passed within the canopy of the trees, bounding smaller animals to the safety of their homes. It was still a warm night, however; the sun had provided with a very hot day when it was surrounded by blue. The lower parts of the woodland were very much colder than the top, considering the heat rising. Bigger prey that could still withstand cold weather were about; such animals were deer, elk, moose, and of course, the lupine. Sleek black paws scuffed the ground, leaving hidden tracks to be swept up by the next breeze. Her scent would only linger. Her black pelt blended into the shadows as a shadow itself, the way she always loved it to be. This lupine loved the night; the glow of the moon, the darkness, the way she didn’t have to be seen if she didn’t want to. However, she was still trying to adapt to the sun. Her auds flickered within the wind, bushy and well kept with fur. Amber orbs were the only off color in that part of the forest, and that was how it was planned to stay.

She ventured out of her pack lands a second time, Aurora Borealis scent washing over her pelt like her own. She loved her pack so very much, and would defend it with her own life. If a war should occur? Why look for this lupine when she is already fighting among a herd of others? Anyway, she lifted her cranium as the trees started to thin. This was the part of the forest where the border was a clearing instead of a marking, even though it still had Kal’s scent over it. She needed to find a way to mask her scent of Kal so he wouldn’t be given away. Her trotted over into open area, still feeling a tinge at her back of wanting to go into cover. She peered back over her shoulder. The aurora borealis was sure to be shining tonight, gleams dancing within each other, throbbing in and out of existence. It could only be seen from the heart of the territory, which the lupine thought was necessary; their most prized piece of art was kept for the members of the pack only. This lupine had noticed new scents among the breeze, proving that her hope was true; the pack had regained strength, and quite quickly. She would have to make her rounds either before or after the pack meeting.

She was out of her pack lands this evening for a very special task. It was only information that her, her leader, and her beta knew; she even kept this from her mate. Of course, he knew about her journey back to Munashii, however the reasons were still kept between her and her alpha. She would tell him if it was alright with Kalgalath; she didn’t like keeping things from the one she trusted most. She was beginning to find her way through the trees when the vixen started to scent the pack borders. This was her second try coming to the border in search of answers; before, the pack was quiet and did not seem to be present. Like her leader said, maybe they were on a pack hunt. She carefully wove herself through the brambles, trying to keep her pelt from snagging. Her pad stepped on something sharp, and her jerked it up rapidly. She looked between the pads of her foot and noticed a thorn between the area. She pulled it out and continued. The vixen finally reached the border, and sat down. Would she find this wolf? Would someone answer her call? She rose her cranium into the air and howled a call towards the wolves inside the lands. It bounced in and out of the trees, forward into the universe. She retreated her head back down to normal height, amber gaze slicing through the trees in anticipation. She really didn’t expect anyone, but she needed someone to come.
