aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

leila

Deep, sun kissed orange eyes swivelled to greet the figure that advanced towards her; fluttering movements of eyes flickering to and fro. It was Hellene. A smile blossomed onto her maw and soon creased into a grin. Her banner propelled into quick action, swaying backwards and forwards with happiness. She had been intending to catch up with the newcomer, interested in her background and perhaps everything about her. Perhaps she would be able to do some investigating for Kal – sussing out all the little details although Leila highly doubted she would have anything to hide. Still if it would ease her friends worries she would continue with it, although that task was not ranked high in her priorities. She wished to make new friends. Hellene was a grand wolf to start with and although slightly older and no doubt more experienced than her, Leila was sure she would be a reliable friend. She raised her bodice into a slightly less opposing posture and observed as she gained closer contact to her. It would be interesting to see what she was like; after all she had had little time to talk to the new comer. And she wished not to disturb the tour.

Once close, Leila raised her head to have full view of the stranger vixen, fiery eyes locked onto her gentler amber ones but it was not a stare of hate or hostility but of welcome. ‘Hello, Leila.’ Leila acknowledged her soft words with a small dip of her head. “Hey,” she replied. “Will you sit with me? I could with some company and you seem an interesting wolf.” Her words were softer than usual – as they always were when around stranger females. She wished to create the best impression, especially those who were destined to be her future pack mates. She was sure Kalgalath would come to his senses eventually. He was a big softie in reality; Leila would make sure Hellene knew that. Only a few times had harsh glares ever crossed her path and they rarely lingered for long. Or perhaps she was just too good at sneaking away when trouble was at brew; maybe it was that she had no fear of Kalgalath, she had lived far too long on her own to be scared of exile.

“You must note that Kally… Kalgalath isn’t so big and scary really. He may be large and he may have a stare that would startle even the strongest of wolves but when you get to know him, he’s fun. And better yet, I have watched him from the near beginning of his reign and he had brought this pack up from the dust.” Leila - aware that she had talked for a long period of time – paused before quickly adding a few more lyrics. “So don’t judge him just based on that meeting, he was just being a bit stupid- probably was tired. I trust you; you don’t seem to be someone who would leave your home without reason but any way, change of subject – how long have you been in Blossom Forest?”
