aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Leila seemed to be just as amazed by Hellene’s tale as Hellene had been… and Hellene had seen it firsthand. That is a questionable thought, I can’t stand being underneath water for too long – it goes up my nose. Only time I go below the surface is for when I dive for fish though I don’t usually stay down below for a long period of time. I give up too quickly. Hellene found herself nodding along at Leila’s words. “That is what I thought as well. However, I tend not to go diving for fish for exactly that reason. I prefer just to swipe them out of the water with my paw – I got quite good at fishing. Although, that does seem to be the only thing that I am good at.” Hellene’s amber gaze shifted to the side before she finally leapt into the lake’s cold water.

As Hellene splashed around in the lake, she finally began to relax, the lapping water at her pelt massaging her into a calmer state. Her auds tilted, hearing a slight change in the motion of the water and she flipped around, focusing upon Leila’s form entering the body of water as well. She heard a soft growl emit itself from the fae and laughed in agreement. “I love the water! It is so comfortable!” Hellene coughed as water poured into her maw. She spit it up and laughed once more, not at all minding. Just then, out of the corner of her eye she saw Leila lift her paw and slap it against the surface of the lake. Water landed on the femme’s pelt, damping her already soaked pelt. “Hey!” The russet and grey fae turned around and began to paddle away, kicking her hind limbs, hoping to splash Leila in return for what the darkened femme had done. After a few strides, Hellene changed her course and began to swim back to shore. As her paws finally touched the silted bottom of the lake, her muscles began to work, striding her out of the lake. Once her bodice cleared the water she hunched lower to the ground and shook off her pelt, drops of water showering the dry earth. Her pelt poofed up, allowing air access to her inner pelt so that it too could eventually dry. Glancing pack to where Leila was swimming she smiled. “Thank you for showing me this place, Leila. You cannot not how much you have lightened my heart.” And indeed, it was true. She could not remember feeling this happy since she had left her sister. But still, she felt as if something was missing. Family. Family was missing.

Anxiously, the fae turned back to the eboness. “Leila… I was thinking about adopting. I know that I have no mate, but I am quite lonesome. Especially without my sister. And I know I can be quite trying at times… angsty and raw and coarse. But I think I just need family back in my life. What do you think?” Hellene turned her ambers to lay upon her new friend, hoping for her honest thoughts.

OOC – Hellene is going to adopt Khalessi (It’s already planned out) So I’m just trying to set the stage! <3
