Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

There was no doubt in his mind she wouldn't follow him. Her paws matched evenly with his own as she padded beside him. Every now and then, Iblis would lean against her soft fur and together they would walk as one. But something would come along, a stone or a stump, that would make them part. However, they were one being now and forever thanks to the workings of Fate. As they moved, Iblis sniffed the air to determine where the best prey could be found. The faint sent of mule deer could be detected a few miles south and he turned in that direction, Rhae didn't miss a beat and kept pace with him. It would take some time for them to reach the herd and didn't want to pass the time in silence. Dark brown eyes gazed up at his imprint and Iblis cleared his throat as they walked. "Perhaps we could tell each other a little about ourselves. Though it feels like I have always known you, I actually know very little about you. And I'm sure you don't know much about me." Iblis said. He thought for a moment about where to start. Then, he thought the beginning would be the best place.

"I wasn't born here in Moladion. I came from a pack next to a vast ocean far away from here. I was the oldest of four and destined to run the pack when my father moved on. As you can see, that never happened. I was never one for the pack life and when I was old I simply left. I found myself here shortly after and began to live my life. I tried to make it in a few packs, but eventually I left and became a loner. Now I hunt those who prey upon the weak and feast of their flesh. I am an enemy of Iromar and a wanted wolf. I wouldn't be surprised if they were on my trail even as we speak." Iblis said, then he chuckled and sighed. "I am a danger to those I love. I often think I am better off alone to save others from my stupidity." For a while after this, Iblis is silent and somewhat solemn as he takes them closer and closer to the herd of deer.

It wasn't long until the pair of wolves reached their destination and it is here that something inside Iblis changes yet again. The musk of prey is heavy in the air and he stops for a moment to get a good heading with his nose in the air. Without saying a word, he points his muzzle to the right and moves on silent paws to where a herd of five does stood with three fawns grazed on the dew laden grass. Iblis stared at each of them and saw that they were all healthy and fit, not a single doe was weighing down the herd. That could be a challenge. Of course, then again, one fawn would be enough to feed a pair of wolves. A sly smile spread across Iblis' scarred muzzle as he looked up at Rhae. Had she come to the same conclusion as he? For now, he would do what she did and allow her to lead the charge. Together, they were sure to bring something down and they were sure to do it beautifully as one.
