Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

It was the boy's next words that entirely captivated him - family fighting family? Well, he had hardly expected to hear such a thing of the man, Alcide. Had he not appeared so honorable during their fight? How unusual and yet, he can not help himself relating. His entire life, or Caligula's really, had been dedicated to fighting family - to killing in actuality. He wondered momentarily if such a thing occurred behind the closed doors of Spirane, or if indeed there was something else going on. Did they squabble over rank? Mates? Food, even? Perhaps Tesseract was not inclined to be such a family man in his own right when it came to certain siblings and his own parents, but he could at least admit he would never do such things to his own children.

He remained silent however, merely nodding in silent agreement and yet, the boy went on. The more he spoke, the more enthralled and captivated Tesseract was by his strangeness, his apparent disgruntlement. For a moment, he merely thought in silence before shrugging lightly, twisting once more to face him though this time he wore a genuine smile. If the political pot was to be stirred - now was the time.

"There is nothing stopping you from, how did you put it? - overthrowing the old broad."

He chuckled once more, though he was in no way done on pressing the matter - gentle pressure, just enough to push the kid just that little bit closer to the tipping point. Hadn't they all suffered under the rule of old families and old ways for far too long?

"I was an heir once, though perhaps we never lose such a title. Perhaps we just lose the motivation to take what was ours in the first place."

With that, he dipped his head once more, acknowledging the other as an equal in this moment. They sat together as former heirs, two wolves who aspired to be something more and yet, it seemed both of them needed to be pushed just that little more into doing something about their agenda.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Bane. It's seldom I meet another I find myself able to relate to - I appreciate your company this night."

Truly, really. It was a first but eventually, it was bound to happen.
