The false demon watches the creature, studying softly. He doesn’t really mind the proximity of another creature. Being around someone else… that’s comforting. At least Heart isn’t by himself. He doesn’t like being by himself, though he likes being alone. You can hate being lonely and like being alone, right? Heart was fairly certain that was the way things were going to go. Quite certain. The words that come out of the girl’s mouth, but she smiles too. It’s nice that she smiles. Heart nods as she smiles, as she offers her affirmation. There’s generally very little real emotion on the surface of the creature’s face. No emotion, just a solid and steady regard.
And there’s her name. Vera. She’s another demoness, and he can’t really help but simply hang out next to her. That’s what they’re doing, right? Hanging out. That was what normal people did. Just hanging out. Eye level on eye level, and his eyes do say something. They say something that’s simply reassuring. Heart simply watches the girl. It’s all simple. He’s not here for hidden messages, he’s just there to be. He wants to ask what’s wrong, wants to ask what happened to her, but it’s against Heart’s policy to pry. He isn’t, however, averse to other questions.
“I don’t see a reason not to be.” There’s a shrug to the young man, his red streaked tail twitches, swishes in the dusty grass. The young man rests his chin on his forelegs, watching the girl with a bit of a glint. He’s always glinting, glimmering, and adorable. “Over there, somewhere. I’m not new and I’m not old, but I haven’t really had anywhere to be.” The words that come are more than he’s strung together in… a while. A very long while.
