Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

I have never been nothing
That feeling that doesn't go away just did And I walked a thousand miles to prove it And I'm caught in the crossfire of my own thoughts The color of my blood is all I see on the rocks As you sail from me Alarms will ring for eternity The waves will break every chain on me My bones will bleach My flesh will flee So help my lifeless frame to breathe And God knows I'm not dying but I bleed now And God knows it's the only way to heal now With all the blood I lost with you It drowns the love I thought I knew The lost dreams are buried in my sleep for him And this was the ecstasy of a love forgotten And I'm thrown in the gunfire of empty bullets And my blood is all I see As you steal my soul

I glanced this way and that, and truly thought that luck had been on my side and I was alone for my theatrical fall. Unfortunately for me, or perhaps fortunately dependent on how things moved from here, on my last searching look around the trees nearest to me my eyes landed on the form of another wolf. I felt my skin grow hot beneath my fur with embarrassment. He was tall, taller even than father, and almost entirely white, save for the grey accents on his head and what I could see of his back. I swallowed hard and turned towards him as he spoke, trying to push down the mortification I felt. A sheepish smirk pulled at the corners of my maw as he introduced himself. Certainly I could turn this situation around and make it into an opportunity to make a new friend rather than only have humiliated myself.

Hello, Dimas. My name is Daenerys; my friends call me Dany.” An invitation for friendship, I hoped. “Yes I was just enjoying the views and, well, you saw what happened.” I laughed lightly, trying to brush the situation off as inconsequential, even though I felt completely ashamed that I couldn’t even keep my leg beneath me, where they were meant to be. “Oh, yes, I’m fine. Nothing more than my pride injured,” I said, glancing down at my dark legs for a second before turning my mahogany eyes back onto him. Now was the time to decide if I simply wanted to be on my way, or really make an effort to cultivate a friendship in my newfound acquaintance. Surely a Queen would not pass up such an opportunity as this. So neither would I.

Moving upon smoke hued legs, I walked towards Dimas, closing the distance between us to only a few comfortable feet. As I moved closer, another light breeze caught and parted the fur of my neck, revealing the starling black base of my coat. I was quite proud of my coat, as unique and beautiful as it was. I was not vain, no, but I appreciated the beauty the gods had blessed me with. Dark grey paws halted at an appropriate distance from which they could easily continue their conversation, and here I allowed my hindquarters to sink to the ground. As I sat, my silvery tail wrapped around me and rested on top of my charcoal paws. “These woods, they are quiet lovely, don’t you think, Dimas? There are plenty of trees in my home – Spirane, that is – but nothing quite like this.” I glanced around us and up to the canopy above before returning my gaze to Dimas. I hoped he would like to stay and chat for a while. It was nice to get out and meet new wolves.
