Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Felan

Corde was a shy little thing, spending most of her time cowering behind her brother’s protective aura and shying away from the ‘monsters’ that haunted her. Felan couldn’t understand how a wolf could fear the world when there was so much to hate and argue with. Life was his, bad tempered, playground and he would make the most of learning all the bitter things about the earth while he was still innocent enough for it to stick. His sister on the other paw was driven forwards by fear of fear itself so when she craned her head around for reassurance Felan wasn’t surprised... At all. Instead he moved his gangly body closer to his sister’s, brushing his shoulder against hers for support. Her delicate frame felt light against his form like the snowflakes (not that he really knew what they were) drifting along the breeze only to find rest on the fur of wandering creatures. They were cold and wet and melted upon connection with the dwindling warmth of his skin causing him to grumble a little in protest. The multi-hued boy would have preferred to stay in the field, despite the anomalous stranger, at least it was warmer. Another, ill-tempered, sigh formed in his throat as his warm breath collided with the icy air creating a silent gush of smoke.

He hardly noticed the conversation between his parents as a star of white landed on his nose sending icy chills down his spine. An energetic, yet aggravated, yip squeaked through his small white pins as he snapped his jaws shut around members of its family. Ha, got you! His claws unsheathed in the cold, pallid, earth as just as he was about to pounce on another twinkling snow formation his siblings stuttering lyrics slipped into his auds. ’Yeah-h. Do...do you think they'll go away soon?’ Tenderly the brute slapped his warm tongue on her muzzle in a way he would only do with his family, hoping to assure her that ‘they’ would NEVER touch her so long as he lived. ”They won’t hurt you sis, I’ll look after you.” Above all other’s Felan knew exactly what Corde meant. He had grown with her in the womb and would continue to until they died. No other would dare come near his little sister so long as he had oxygen in his lungs.

’ What do you think of the snow little ones? It can be very fun to play in.’ Felan, who had completely missed the rest of the conversation, finally looked at his mother. She was his idol, as was his father, but his dam concealed everything he wanted to be when he was older. With her family she was sweet natured and loving but to the world she was a deadly viper that no-one messed with. THAT was how Felan wanted to be. Before he had chance to answer the older vixen, who he gazed at in awe, his sister spoke up again voicing her fears and concerns. ’It...it won't hurt me? It's safe to play with?’The young lad moved towards his sister then, circling her before facing her head on. His amber orbs searched the dazzling blue stargazers seated in her petite blackened cranium. It was an action he rarely did but drastic times called for drastic measures. ”Corde. Nothing will hurt you while I am here, promise.” In all honesty, he was unsure of what exactly snow was and had no clue whether it posed a threat to them family, but what he said was true. Nothing would hurt her whilst her was around. Turning once again to his mother he allowed a cheeky smile to appear on his kissers. ”I want to play.” He ran towards his mother, slipping as his paws connected with the hidden ice, but reached his maker all the same just before she turned away to find a safe place to sleep and nuzzled into her limb excitedly. ”Come on Corde.” Paws that were too big for his body raced off over the terrain, his eyes focused on his father whom he circled twice yipping happily, before setting off in the direction of his sister once again. Though usually Felan made a point of hating the world, he had to admit this thing they called snow was remarkably fun and he if no-one else was having the time of his life.
