Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Being raised by a fox had some advantage she supposed. The swift moves her mother had taught her when she was just a pup always seemed to come in handy just at the right moments. Adina padded through the crag carefully and almost silently. Only her paws seemed to make a noise as they echoed off of the rocky cliffs in front of her. Her breathing was hushed and the prints behind her were the only indication that she was there or had been there before. Though, if a curious wolf was tracking her it would not be that hard to find a trace of her. Adina wasn’t particularly in hiding, no. She was simply alone as she had been for the last few days. Being new to these lands meant solitude until you actually found a place to fit in, and Adina simply did not crave to be a part of something bigger than her at this particular moment. Though she had met two lovely canines a few days prior, they had come and gone like most had in her life. She enjoyed their company while it had lasted, especially the kind black wolf named Jagger. Their meeting had been enlightening, giving Adina closure that she was not the only wolf roaming the land without direction.

Her paws gripped the rocky slopes with ease, her muscles pulling her body up a steep cliff to project her viewing farther than she had seen before. It was a task, seeing as her energy was being wasted and that she hadn’t eat except for a small ground quail that she had caught about sixteen hours beforehand. They slopes were a challenge, her pads clasping loose rocks and having them plummet down the slope with great force. Adina was simply one wrong paw-placement from having her feet slid out from under her and crashing down the hill behind her. But she wasn’t going to humiliate herself again like she had in front of her recent friends. Instead she continued, her fox-like accuracy kicking in and eventually she came to her final destination.

The land was gorgeous from her view. In the slight distance, she could see a pack of her own hunting an injured elk while to her immediate right she could see a family of mice scurrying out of harm’s way of the small owl nearly on their tails. The snow was gorgeous from here and everything was visible for miles. There were no leaves on the trees to block the view a nearby creek nestled deep into the woods. It was complete and utter peace, though Adina knew she couldn’t stay here forever.

Time passed quickly for the girl in her slumber that she barely noticed her eyelids growing heavier with each passing moment. She dreamed of nothing except the cool air tickling her nose and the wolf fairies that danced within her mind. However, now was not the time for the white girl to be sleeping. Heading down the slope was a task that needed to be done before the last daylight had kissed the Earth goodnight. With a grunt, Adina stood now and shook the frozen clumps of snow from her fur and began to scale down the rocky terrain. But something stopped her. It was a smell that she was all too familiar with. Her nostrils caught at least two of them, both masculine and much more dominant than she. The smell was so overpowering and strong, but the wind changed direction before she could pinpoint however many there were. Her only fear was that it was a band of rogues coming to take advantage of a lone female, to which she would put up nothing but a fight. Adina did not bear teeth though, instead she stood with dignity and walked further down the rocky glen hoping to avoid whatever it was that she had smelled.
