Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

There was a master plan for everything, in Devlin's mind.

Oh, the pretty pieces of the puzzle were scattered here and there, but they could all be found and they would all click right into place. Even as he lay casually conversing with Dimitri, seeming to waste the day away, Devlin was maneuvering all the little pieces on the chessboard of life into a favorable position.

There was not a moment when he wasn't scheming, looking for ways to get ahead, looking for little heads he could step on or ears he could sweeten with lies...

At Dimitri's words, Devlin nodded, grunting. "'Avoid' isn't such a four letter word," he rumbled. But that was all he'd say on that matter. Being the silent observer had gotten him through five years of life, five years of hell. He knew exactly when to keep his mouth shut.

For now, he was quite content to focus on Dimitri. Meanwhile, his mind was clicking those pieces together, forming a bigger picture...

After a moment, he inclined his head haughtily and narrowed his eyes. "It's funny, isn't it? How important the little lives we live seem, until we see it all from a distance." He grinned then, curling back his dark lips to reveal a fleer of pointed teeth; and he chuckled, dark and low.

"They try to make you think you have to live by all the stupid little rules. But in the end, none of it really matters all that much, does it?" Those mismatched eyes seemed to fill suddenly with a spark of hungry intrigue as he leered intently at the other male. His pointed ears were pricked with curiosity, all of his predatory attention poised to hear what Dimitri would say.
