Chickadee smiled bashfully at his comment that she did not seem very small anymore. "No, I suppose I've gotten a little bigger," she laughed. "Thank goodness!" She didn't know why, but suddenly the image of a fully-grown wolf no bigger than a newborn runt inserted itself uninvited into her mind, and she found herself struggling to keep the giggles at bay.
Stop with the laughing already, for god's sake, he's going to think I'm a nutcase!
Thankfully, the conversation was easily steered in another direction, and they were on the subject of healers and plants. Her eyes brightened even further when Starfall showed an interest in her trade.
"Oh yes, I've tried it plenty of times!" she admitted happily. She was intrigued by the fact that this young fellow's brother was a healer as well -- she had not yet met any other healers here in Moladion. But Starfall seemed particularly talkative, and she was having trouble keeping up.
She tilted her head, watching as Starfall scratched at the root of the plant. "Dig at it first.. huh." Why hadn't she thought of that? She was so used to using her teeth, she had forgotten how useful a set of particularly dexterous paws could be. "Well that's brilliant!" She was elated!
Stepping a bit closer to the plant, she fixed her gaze on the plant at Starfall's feet. She glanced up at him briefly before turning her fascinated eyes back to the stubborn stalk, tail wagging. "Could you show me?"
