Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Advancement had been slow but steady, at least. Spring was upon them and he could not truly expect too great of an increase in numbers. Though few were pregnant in the pack, those that were seemed to be the best at recruiting - and he, too, was busy with the looming responsibility of more children. It was difficult to juggle so many tasks and yet, he figured he was doing well enough. Chickadee, with any luck, would soon be able to visit Spirane to better learn healing and thus, the pack would advance and the children could begin to learn. Soon, Sinclair would begin his training along side Viora and slowly but surely... all would fall into place. It was simply spring that was quite a pain. He anticipated needing to hunt not only for Caligula but also for Alana, a task that would undoubtedly take up much of his time. Oh, he could not help but sigh over a such a matter as it crossed his mind. What could he say - he was a busy man for eternity, it seemed.

It had been pure accident that he had stumbled upon the gathering of wolves by the borders - he had been in search of Chickadee, trailing her scent for some time, in fact. But here they were - three, Chickadee and Jagger with a stranger positioned between them. For some time, he had stayed back, lingering in the shade of the tall trees and merely observing. The way Jagger interacted with the male was ... unusual and certainly something he took note of. With winter long passed, he did not feel the same animosity towards the stranger as he had, say, Jumanji. No, it was more of a curiosity now. He smiled when Chickadee asked the very question he had been wondering - yes, who was this strange, mottled male.

By the time Jagger had moved to respond, he had begun to lope down the hillside, his tail bouncing high proudly. He moved as an easy jog, his head tilted slightly as he moved to meet them, standing beside Chickadee before bowing his head in a greeting to both she and Jagger. For now, it was the male that took up most of his attention. His eyes sought for eye contact, his lips pulling up into a half smile as he assessed the stranger briefly. Thanks to Jagger, he knew the stranger to be Splash, a most unusual name but a name nonetheless. Whereas the male did not quite meet the same height as Tesseract himself, he certainly outweighed him - it was all too clear that this Splash fellow had some fifty or so pounds on top of him. Such a thing was hardly a cause for concern. He doubted Jagger would ever bring a threat to Glorall, or so he would have liked to believe at least.

"Splash, was it?"

He spoke finally, pausing only momentarily in order for the male to confirm the identity before he continued.

"Tesseract - it's a pleasure. A friend of Jagger's, I take it?"

He glanced then to Jagger, a brow cocked slightly before he passed a reassuring look to Chickadee. He leaned gently against the smaller female, knowing that she was fairly timid in comparison to either he or Jagger. Besides, she seemed just as curious as he was of the male's identity - they'd get to the bottom of this and fast.
