Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I could be a shadow

We had left Diveen together. I was paranoid of walking over the scent markings of Isola, but even still, the demon that is Devil had lived within Diveen itself. There is no truly safe place. Danger is everywhere, and I try to keep my senses as acute as possible. It is a bit harder now. My ear being gone, means that I cannot pinpoint a sound as well, however, I can hear all sounds equally. A curse and a potential blessing, for my ear is more open to sounds behind me. My black fur, some touched with speckles of white, was slightly on edge as I constant listen for any sounds hiding in the trees. So far, so good.

As we come upon Glorall, my nose begins to pick up new scents. These scent carry to my nose, and something deep inside triggers me to become tense. I suddenly stop, my body frozen as I dare not go near the border. It is my siblings. It is their mark. It is obvious, they had become the alphas of Glorall. Caligula and Tesseract. More evils within the world, now controlling the home that Everchime stayed in. I gulped, my golden eye looking around for any signs of my siblings before locking onto Ever. She states that something isn't right, but the scents of my siblings take me over. A small growl erupts from my throat as Ever howls. I didn't want anyone coming here, especially not my siblings. They were evil, vile creatures. I have no doubt that Caligula would attack me, and possibly my imprint, on the spot. Instinctively, I gently bit the side of Ever's shoulder, my words not coming yet, but I needed her to stop as quickly as possible. It was not a painful bite, but one of warning.

She mentions that she calls for Pan, which does not worry me. My jaws are now parted from her, only a deep concern now painted on my visage. My growl has ceased, but I still was not going to want her to stay around here, in this land dangerous. I took a few steps back, a few moments of silence between use before I finally finds the words to speak to Everchime. I pushe forward again, my muzzle reaching out to her ear. I will speak in a whisper, one that no one can hear but her. So soft, so delicate, yet serious all the same.

"This place...not safe. Markings, my siblings. Sister, rip out my eye while sleep. Leave. We must leave. Dead, they want of me, to be dead." I say, my voice fading at the end into nothing as I pull my muzzle away, facing downward a bit in shame once again. I didn't want her hurt, but I also do not want me to be hurt...and they would hurt me. This I know. They never liked me, and I never understood why. I was born into a world of silence and hatred. My litter-mates died young, aside from Elric who lived in Diveen for a while. I only had my older siblings, and they never spoke to me. They never gave me a friendly look. They never gave me anything but snarls and violence. I did nothing to deserve such treatment, and I was perfectly content in never seeing, smelling, or hearing them ever again. My only concern was getting Everchime out of here, before they come. I will stand ready, my ears awaiting any noise from any angle. I will be ready to run, for I know they will chase me away. They will not get me this time, and if they lay fang on me, I will take from them what was taken from me.
