The Devil's got a rifle on my front porch
If she hadn't good enough reason to manically obsess over trying to be perfect in all regards before then she certainly had one now. Perhaps the rest of Glorall had been slow with the memo but she had three whole new siblings to compete with, including two brothers! Maradona was already on the fast track to be a better healer and Octavia was already a better - what was it? - diplomat. At that rate, her new siblings had probably been born better at doing things then her. Maybe she just wasn't focused enough. She was damn well focusing now though one those measly little cuts along his shoulders. She couldn't help but roll her eyes over them - they were so small, why were they even bleeding? Whatever, it didn't matter: first thing was first. Surprisingly, she was quite gently as she steadied herself, licking over the wound and nibbling the dried blood from his fur as she would mud or dirt. It was an easy job to patch it up, but certainly one he would have totally needed her for. It was an awkward area to reach and he was just ever so lucky that she had been around.
When he questioned her, she eyed him side wards before snorting to herself and merely continuing the work. Once he was entirely clean, she finally pulled away and cleared her throat.
"Cersei, but I'll have you know I'm not just a princess, thank you."
She raised a brow, waiting for him to challenge that though she had already planned her response for if he - or anybody - ever did. The term princess was, yes, pleasing but alas, it carried with it such negative connotations. He, on the other hand, was a genuine oddity. Though faint, he smelt somewhat of her father which was, well, strange frankly. She had heard a rumor that her father had taken on another child to teach but was it really this boy? She eyed him curiously, leaning in closer to sniff wearily at him before retracting, just as bewildered as he had been. Yes, he certainly smelt like her father! ... She had to be sure.
"And so who are you?"
She waved her tail thrice, flashing him a somewhat sheepish grin as she settled back onto her haunches.
"And more importantly: why haven't I met you until now, hm? Have you and all the other puppies been hiding?"
She frowned, pouting somewhat at the mere thought they had been, firstly - hiding and secondly - getting away with it.
