Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Return to Lunar Children

He felt ashamed. He had set out on a quest to discover what had happened to his Mother, and he had absolutely nothing to show for it. All Winter long he had searched and searched for any scent that might give him a trail to follow, he had listened in on conversations in hopes of catching a hint from someone- anybody. But it was useless. There was simply nothing and Emry was at a loss. He had not returned to Diveen since leaving it during the beginnings of Winter, and he was not sure if he would return at all. His brother was still there, as was his Father, his Uncle, and of course his Aunt-in-law the Queen of Diveen. But the young boy did not know if he could go back to the place he was born and raised, a place so reminescent of her. Spider. His Mother. He had never been a particular Momma's boy- or anybody's boy, for that matter- but that did not mean that he did not miss her. He was her flesh and blood, after all, and her death had pained him. Pained his Father even more so, but that was beside the point. He had coped in the way of convincing himself he would be the avenger, that he would be the one to take justice for what had happened. And yet, he had nothing to show for such a silly notion, such a silly thought.

And that's just what it was, wasn't it? A silly dream a child had come up with, something he believed himself capable of. He was a fool for it, really. For what could he have possibly done? He was over a year old now, but he was not close to being grown at all. He was growing fast of course, but not fast enough. He wanted to be in his prime already, to be all grown up and to stand tall among fierce warriors who knew their skill and how to use it well. One day, Emry knew he would be one of them, but that day was not today. Instead, this day was one of isolation, of lonliness. Since leaving Diveen, he had only come into contact with one another, a young girl who had been hostile and drove him away. Since, he had avoided wolves wherever he went, watching and listening was the extent of his interactions. It was unlike him- the bad boy who enjoyed teasing and playing with people, of messing with them and causing mischief. Instead, he was docile, quiet- watchful. His molten gold irises with flecks of crimson constantly roamed and took in all that surrounded him. But perhaps it was time for a change.

Which was how he found himself within the crags, exploring and perhaps looking for company. The soft rumble of several waterfalls drew him to the northeast point of the place, where a small stream off the lake created the cascades of water within the crags. It was a beautiful place and something he rather liked. When he was younger, the black and silver boy hadn't been one for beauty, but the last season of being alone had taught him much. Of course, even if he did not know it, he had much, much more to learn about life and everything that came with it. But for now, he was content to wander along the falls and find himself at the various ponds they created. Approaching one of the smaller, more still ponds, the dual toned boy is pausing at the very edge. Leaning over simply to gaze down, the image of a dark wolf with bright, firey eyes is gazing back at him. Though he is still young, he has grown much over the last year, and is slowly filling out his features. He will be handsome in the years to come- handsome and strong and very capable. The only question is to when that will be exactly. Patience is a virtue- but it is not his strong suit.
