Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The more that came, the more she found herself in her element; she couldn't help but smile so wide as they flocked to the water. Still, there was one that seemed to stand out among the others; he stood back, merely watching the others with what could only be described as a look of apathy, of disinterest. Though she did not know why, something about the boy struck a chord within her that made her ears sink back in concern, her mind finding so many reasons to fret over his apparent disinterest in joining any of the others. She'd raised (or tried to, at least, before the world decided against such a thing happening) enough children to know it was something to worry about. Though she tried to continue enjoying herself, she could not - her eyes kept roaming to him, and her heart kept fluttering at the thought of having to do something to change the expression on his face. With a final chuckle, batting water at one of the wolves that had joined in with the swimming, she dismissed herself to the shore.

Even as she shook her pelt out, her eyes remained fixated on his form, her head tilted slightly as she began to jog towards him. Her face had lit up by then into a warm grin, her eyes bright with intrigue as her tail bounced along, waving of course, behind her. Every part of her practically radiated with a happiness and there was no denying it - with each step closer, she felt something within her very being stir in excitement. It was something akin to when she had first met Faol'an beneath the stars, and yet, it felt like something... more. The realisation of such a thing caused her to stumble some ten feet from him, coming to a momentary halt with wide eyes and a look of shock. The more she thought on what had intrigued her, the more she realized it was something she'd never really felt at all. It was awkward to think about and even she knew that she looked like a fool just standing there and staring. She had to do something - she didn't want the boy's expression to change from bored to secondhand embarrassment on her accord.

"You don't, uh, you don't have to sit back here, you know?"

She called out, wincing and recoiling slightly at how silly what she had said sounded. It hadn't been her intention but, well, pressure had never been to good for her and frankly, she felt buried under the pressure to... impress? To do or say something just right? Whatever it was, it made her nervous, her paws moving beneath her, fidgeting as she did.

"I'm sure they'd all like to meet you."

She flashed him a bright grin before immediately retreating and stared back down at her paws. She hadn't come with a game plan and now... she wasn't so sure what she was supposed to do.
