His haunches bunch and he leaped off the rock he had found to rest on after breakfast. He landed with a light thud and disturbed a plethora of insects in the process. He snapped his jaws at them, but somehow missed the cloud of black spiraling away from him. Bugs were hideous creatures. He hated their beady eyes and constant buzzing. Unfortunately, the instects were everywhere! As be begun in the direction of the territory he was staying in, Diveen, his noise twitched at a fresh wolf smell. There was someone near? Nootau glanced around suspiciously. Why hadn’t they announced themselves? His caution was tossed aside quickly, though. Nootau’s tail waved happily and he bounded in the direction of the wolf.

He used his nose to calculate the area of the wolf. Nootau tilted his head, and lowered his head to the ground as he searched for the trail of his fellow wolf. When he found it, he followed it to a a glossy stream. Locating the other wolf took hardly more than a few seconds, but it seemed longer to Nootau. Nootau barked happily when he finally sighted the black female, though he was taken by surprise at how young of wolf the stranger was! Her soft, velvety fur suggested she should be still under the care of a mother, or at least some sort of nanny.

… Ooh. Maybe the young wolf was secret secretly sneaking away for a few hours? Nootau wagged his tail at the thought. Well, he certainly wasn’t going to spoil the pup’s fun. “Hi, pup! I’m Nootau,” He introduced himself enthusiastically.
