Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Sinclair
Then the Strongest Heart Grows Old
His mater was so pretty! She handled herself with such grace. Sin’s tail wagged faster as the white angel raised herself. He blinked in surprise when she used the common language and he stopped dead for a moment while he translated what she had said to him. When he understood a happy smile reach his features and he bounded after her with high puppy steps. Because he could, he danced around her and pretended to pounce as he paws until they reached the edge of the ocean.

Sin’s eyes gleamed happily as he watched the waves lick the shore. He had never seen anything so amazing as the vast, never ending sea. Of course, he had yet to be anywhere but in Glorall either. His ear flicked at his mother’s words to show he had heard and he observed with wide eyes as the ocean parted and revealed a path. A miracle! The sea must love his mom so much, that it parted to let her pass. Sin’s jaw dropped in an amazed grin and he whistled in awe, “Rutrum venenatis es!” Mom, you’re magic!

He glanced up at her with eyes full of respect and wonder. So this special place was untouched by time too? What a magical island Selena’s place must be. Sinclair didn’t know much about history, so to hear the name of one of the original alphas was intriguing. He would like to know more, but he only answered, “Eamus!” Let’s go!

He cantered ahead of Sinopa onto the pathway. It felt like an adventure to him already; out of the known to explore the unknown. He was a mighty adventurer! “Selena occursum nobis?” Will we meet Selena? He had assumed that the island was named after a particular wolf, probably that alpha female that had her own rule there. If this place was free from time, then it was possible Selena was still alive, right? Or maybe the island was the current residency of a Selena. Sinclair wouldn’t know, after all. He had never heard of the secret land off the shore until today.
