Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It was disappointing, really. To have followed his brother here, kept a close watch on him- only to have lost interest the moment his brother seemed wholey and completely distracted with a random she-wolf. It was enough to make Artimus roll his eyes, quite unentertained with the fact that his brother was swooning over such.. a common thing. For that's what all the wolves then surrounding his brother were- commoners. There was one that he had seen, though- a little thing that couldn't be but a yearling, dark as night with eyes only for him. The thought has a slight smirk caressing his pale and handsome features, the corners of his lips turning up ever so slightly. He had caught her scent and would found her at a later date, but for now he was enjoying himself within a more forested part of the land. The large lake had been pleasant- but with Autumn came less heat and more colours, and the tall wolf found himself enjoying the forest versus any open space or water. He did not stop to converse with any, for none held his interest long enough to make a decision. He was simply going to go, moving one large paw after the other. He had it half in mind to explore the land some, to get his bearings and know where things were- in case he were to ever run into trouble. He would know where to go, have a backup plan. And when he finally revealed himself to his brother- his ultimate thoughts could be set into action. But things took time, and this the wolf knew. He had learned much in his life, but knew he had much more to learn. All it took was a bit of time.

He was not famished, but it was while he made his way through the woods that he decided he would find something tasty enough for him. At his solid height of 42 inches and steady weight of 200 lbs, he never had trouble finding himself something to eat with ease. He could take down prey easy and this he knew and took full advantage of. He was a very skilled hunter and it was something he was quite prideful in. Artimus also knew he was a better hunter than most if not all wolves he saw on a daily basis. Especially the lot around this new land- this Moladion as he had overheard someone call it. There were more loners than what he was used to- and while he himself was a loner, he was a capable one. And most were not so fortunate as he, and it was something that amused him, yet only vaguely. It meant they were no threat to him, save for perhaps if one were to steal a kill of his or rub him the wrong way. Then he would show them how inferior they were to him, and how they should be grateful he didn't take away their pathetic existences as he so easily could. But most were not something he even looked twice at. They were all so boring, so plain, so uninteresting. And delicious things were on the males mind, something quite capable of taking his gaze elsewhere. Until a movement of pure white caught his attention, causing liquid amber to hone in on a particular individual. She was tall, and even from the current distance between them she looked to be about his height. It was rare for a female to be as tall as him, and this piqued his interest.

He did not pause nor hesitate when he decided he would approach her. He simply changed the angle of his path slightly so that he came from her right side, gazing evenly at her for their heights called for it. The closer he came to her, the more his observation noted that she seemed to be slightly lighter than him. But he wouldn't know for sure unless he could feel her against him- an idea to which he was not opposed. While it was the white that had initially caught his eye, the golden and beige coloured male could see now that she had dark, black markings around her eyes. Which, now that he could see with his own gemmed citrine, were a brilliant shade of pink he had never seen on another wolf before. He didn't bother to tilt his head slightly in curiosity, as some wolves might have done. He was not one to give things away on the inside, and what was truly going on inside his head. He was a marvelous actor, after all, and played his part quite well. This female wolf did not seem the sort of be shy and beat around the bush- and so Artimus was going to roll with that. If he was wrong, so be it. But he was never wrong- ever. 'And what would your name be? Call him presumptious, call him an ass- he wouldn't care. If she wished to know his name, then she would ask for it. It was simple as that. He did not offer him name firsthand to any stranger who wandered by- she she may not, either, but that was left to be said.

As much as he enjoyed a tasty and pleasant meal- the wolf before him was more appealing than anything he could possibly find in this forest. Who said one of your kin couldn't be delicious? In what manner, well.. that was simply up to the one that indulged.

'Talks like this.'
