The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.
All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.
Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Still being new he did not know if this stranger was an ally of Abendrot’s so he tried to keep the hostility out of his voice, in case this femme was already known to his home pack. On the other paw, he was not going to come off as a happy and good natured lupine, that just wasn’t his nature, not anymore anyways. The anger that had been going through him while he was walking still threatened to burst out of him any moment, to turn him into the snarling raging monster that he had been fighting to keep at bay recently. Doing his best to keep his anger under control the brute approached the femme, asking why she was at the borders. She responded respectfully to him, not giving her name like she had assumed she would, “I was rather hoping to stay. That is if it’s okay with you…” She sat silently on the ground as she waited for his answer. It was not up to Grey Wind to decide if she could stay or not. That would be up to the alpha, Kershov, and his new mate and co-leader, Scarlet Nights. ”It is not up to me to decide, your fate lies with Kerhov and Scarlet Nights, the leaders of this pack.” The brute lifted his muzzle to the sky, calling to his King and Queen to come to the borders and decide if this femme was worthy enough to join the ranks of Abendrot. The grey brujo continued to stand, waiting to see if Ker or Scarlet Nights would appear at the border first. He kind of hoped it would be the Queen as he had not yet talked to her, and perhaps if she came by it would give him a chance. Whoever it was that came he wanted to prove to them that he would be a useful and necessary pack member to Abendrot, even though he was still new. He turned his head back to the stranger at the borders, ”What is your name?” He was forward and blunt with her, but that’s how he always was, not bothering with much small talk as he patiently waited for one of his leaders to arrive. ooc: no worries dearie <3 post was wonderful ________________________________________________________________________ |
