Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

A breeze went through the field where the brute sat with the femme, blowing through her pretty cream colored pelt. He saw her shift her position so the wind would not be blowing directly into her face, but it still ruffled the pretty colored fur. Cora smiled as they introduced themselves and Summer returned the gesture, a smile appearing on his kissers. She spoke again, emphasizing with the hard times that a lot of lupines had been going through lately, “I am sorry to hear that. Though, it can’t be every day that you say the prey doesn’t run free.” When Summer asked if she belonged to a pack she smiled genuinely as she replied, “Nope; I have pretty much been a loner for my whole life. Don’t worry, though; I have no idea what I am missing. However, I cannot say the same to you. There is a faint scent of other wolves on you. I am guessing you belong to a pack? How has that been doing?” The smoky brute nodded, knowing that a lingering scent of his pack, Bright Moon, would be lingering to his pelt even though the pack had been very inactive recently.

Summer sighed, knowing how bad things had been for his pack recently. He knew that there was no way for Cora to know these things and that she didn’t purposefully ask about the thing that was upsetting him the most. ”Well, Cora, things have definitely been better in my pack. I belong to a pack named Bright Moon. When I first arrived the alpha was a male named Tamlin. I never met him but he left recently, I really don’t know what happened if he died or what. Now we have a new alpha, Darcia, and I have no idea what he will be like. I’ve met a few of my packmates but really don’t know anyone in the pack. I really haven’t made any friends here, anywhere in Blossom really to be honest. I’ve talked to you more than I have to anyone else.” He looked up at her sheepishly, hoping she didn’t mind that she had met a lupine who had recently been an anti-social loner within a dead pack.

The smoky brute smiled shyly at the femme, hoping his complaining about his pack was not too depressing to talk about. Summer was about to continue, hoping to change the topic to happier terms when a crack of lightning went through the sky and a clap of thunder followed. The brute looked up to the sky to see dark, thick clouds had formed above the two lupines, and Summer hadn’t noticed because he had been so focused on the pretty femme he was conversing with. The wind picked up and ruffled through the titan’s thick coat. He instinctually moved closer to Cora, protectively standing to try and block the wind and rain that was now pouring down as well. The pair was under the only tree in the field that had burned down not too long ago. They were lucky for the small bit of shelter that the tree provided but the brute’s pelt was already starting to get wet, one side pressed to Cora, hoping to keep her dry, the other side facing the storm and oncoming rain.

Summer’s yellow orbs met Cora’s green ones, wondering what the two should do. Maybe heading for the forest with more trees closer together would be a good idea, looking for shelter under the thicker branches. If they were closer to Bright Moon the brute would offer for them to take shelter in his den, but he also didn’t want to freak out his new friend with such a suggestion. He finally spoke, having to almost yell to be heard over the wind and rain, ”We should find shelter. I don’t know if you know of anywhere nearby but we could at least head into the thicker woods and look for shelter under some more trees.” If she was okay with this plan the brute started heading towards the forest, away from the meadow, where the trees grew closer together and would offer more shelter. He stayed by her side, trying to place as much of his larger frame in front of her to shelter her from the storm, placing his cranium and shoulder in front of her and his tail wrapping protectively around her as they headed for cover.
