Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

She did not like crowds, she didn’t have ochlophobia, she just didn’t understand how to interact in a polite manner with strangers. But this…right now was a taste of familiarly. Already she was being challenged by one loner and being pestered by a pup. Dealing with pestering pups were always easy, you just scare them away and make them run back to wherever the hell they came from. However, dealing with a loner it took a bit more finesse. Her half torn right ear would snap back against her head as those cold sapphire eyes glared daggers at the whelp and brute. Slowly she would bring her body up, her ebony fur already starting to bristle up in agitation. Slowly her gaze would drift to the pup unsure as to why she seemed so upset with his earlier comment about being darker on the heaven side. As she explained just what her ‘purpose’ was to this world she couldn’t help but let go a dark chuckle. A devilish smirk appeared on her bloodstained lips as, narrowed eyes caught the gaze of the whelp, and clearly she didn’t have a good job of pointing out just who the real monster was in this bunch.

“We monsters aren’t all that bad…”

Her venomous tone poured out gently as a low growl began to rumble at the back of her throat. She snapped her dial towards the brute noticing how he was watching her, her slits narrowed when she noticed there was something off with him. The way his ear would twitch in the same rhythm as her heart beat, how his pupils would land on the pup’s trachea, gawking at it as if it were a prize. She moved carefully her bristled ebony pelt brushing past the pup’s carefully, making that subtle movement forward if only to catch his guard off, and if that didn’t work then a cold snarky retort would clearly do it. And it worked. Silently she would shove her shoulder gently into Gecko, moving her to the side as she continued moving forward, towards the brute. Hearing his grunt she couldn’t help, but give a soft dark chuckle. Turning her head slowly to the left and right, as if judging the worth of this spot when in secret she was taking note of her surroundings should this turn bad. With a smug tone she snapped back at his claim.

“You have bad taste if this is your resting spot.”

Ebony tail behind her was standing on end when she caught his timber voice grow even deeper and out of common pitch. Her right ear twitched as an annoyed grimace was smeared on her scarred face. The pup clearly wasn’t good at watching because if she was she would have kept her trap shut. Lowering her dial slightly she swung it around, smoldering sapphire slits glaring at the pup. If she had any idea on what was going on she wouldn’t be opening and snapping that trap of hers. She snorted softly as she pried her jaws open a bit wider, those glistening teeth giving her scarred face a more ferocious look as the moonlight etched sinister shadows into that gruesome face of hers. Her cold tone dripped slowly as she gave a gruff response.

“It doesn’t matter how many battles you win, kid.”

Its how many you survive. The scars that littered her carcass didn’t even begin to speak of her fights she experienced all her life. There were some scars that just couldn’t be seen and those were the ones that had to be looked at with scrutiny. She would bring her head back around slowly to take a good look at the obsidian painted male. She had purposely and subtly maneuvered her massive form in front of the pup almost as if she were protecting the girl from something. Bloodstained lips pulled back tighter as a low snarl rumbled in the back of her throat, both ears now tightly pinned back. Sharp teeth remained bare as she took a few more steps forward this time her grey tipped neck fur barely touching the platinum tinges in his own coat. Her entire sleek form shook in preparation as she was ready to spring into action. She pivoted her shoulder near his chest, should he make a lunge for herself or the pup, then her form would be able to take the blow. Keeping her neck protected by tilting her head slightly down, she was close enough to D’Manaco that he should be able to make out the amethyst specks that circled around her iris. Speaking slowly and firmly cold eyes burrowing into D’Manaco’s as if she were speaking to him and the Beast that plagued him. But of course she didn’t know he had a beast in him, only that he was showing signs that he would attack.
