Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Cae.
male - zero - Iblis x Rhae - no soul & heart - loner

Though the dark chocolate stranger Cae had met had offered him shelter in the Angel pack of Diveen- his Mother had intercepted them on the way and taken him off of the kind, peculiar wolfs paws. She had been grateful to him for keeping the boy safe on his adventures, and given the creme and russet and chocolate marked boy a light scolding. But it had not lasted not. Rhae was simply happy to have him home safe and sound, and the tyke himself was happy to be away from that black wolf from Iromar. He was not happy to see the chocolate stranger go, whose name he did not even know- but he had it set in his mind to find him later. Perhaps when he was bigger and better able to take care of himself on his own. Or maybe even he could get his sister, Gaia, to just.. go with him. Surely having her there would make everything better and okay. His sister was special to him, and he had always felt a particular protectiveness of her. Granted she was her own wolf and did as she pleased, but he had always felt weary when she would slip out of sight.

Such was the way he felt when one morning she was at the mouth of the den- and then she was gone. Their parents had been out that morning, hunting for the small family, and though the children were trusted to know their own safety, there was still concern laced within the young boys mind. For being so young, the yearling wolf had been through a lot- after all, his birth place had been one of darkness. And who knew how much darkness had managed to seep its way into the light. Perhaps it was why he almost always stayed quiet around others- in fact, the only person he had ever actually spoken aloud to was Gaia. Even the stranger to have protected him from the Iromar wolf was someone to have never heard the boys voice. Only his sister, with her lovely russet coat that made her so foxlike, had ever heard the tones and colours of his voice. When she disappeared from sight, Cae wasted no time in pushing to his larger paws and taking his own exit of the den. Who knew when their parents would be back- but they had been gone upon their return before.

Such was the life of not only a loner wolf- but a loner family. Which was exactly what they were- a family with no pack at their back, and only one another. The four of them lived and even thrived together- and though they endured much turmoil, they still came out whole and alright in the end. For the most part. Graceful paws for such a young age tread lightly within the snow, his longer than her own legs making it easier for him. Not to mention the path she had already barreled through the snow for herself. He didn't come upon her quick, but rather, took his time at a distance, watching her and simply.. keeping an eye out. It didn't particularly matter to him if she knew he was there or not- he would probably prefer her to know, but if she were to find out.. well, it would happen when it would. And it was as simple as that. Gaia seemed to become weary the closer they were coming to the place that the territory of Diveen lay, and ultimately turned away from where the border was becoming more apparent.

This had Cae curious, and it was then he decided he would catch up to her. Lengethening his strides with ease, he caught up to her just when she had decided to lay down for a rest beside the big frozen lake. She was panting, and as her littermate- he knew how her legs ached and pained her and that she had to take ample rest when needed. Coming up beside her, to the right of her, he didn't focus on keeping his approach silent and when he was close enough- he leaned down to gently mouth his sharp teeth against the fur of her tail. It wasn't enough to hurt or even for his teeth to touch skin- it was a gesture of affection, more so, before he gave a short and small bark of what only could be described as love. Sometimes, he worried for his sister and the way her legs seemed to bother her- his own legs had never proved a problem and wondered why it was that hers did. When he was finally just beside her, his mismatched gaze of deep ocean teal and warm melted chocolate found her own, so similar, and the barest hint of a smile flashed within his expression.

Without a word, he was taking his place beside her, relaxing as she did, with the tips of her russet pelt and his creme and chocolate mixing just barely. Cae had noted her attention on the small island in the middle of the lake, and knew exactly what it was she wanted and was planning. It made him feel uneasy, for whatever reason- but he would be there and be just beside her, just in case she needed him. For while it did not seem he was a very open wolf, it was quite apparent to those around him that he cared for and loved his family immensely. They meant close to everything- if not everything, to him. He would do anything for them, and this showed upon his features as he gazed upon Gaia in his usual silence. For while words were seldom wrought from him, he spoke fluidly with his body and expressions; with his actions and gestures. If she wished to go to the island, he would follow. If she wished to go to the ends of the earth- he would follow.
