Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Cersei had been, of course, following him, apparently having decided to become his shadow. Judas had almost managed to follow, but a firm reminder that his brother and sister had been wanting to explore fast put him on a different path. Perhaps it was odd to think of such a thing and yet, some part of him was reminded of himself and his own siblings when he saw the trio; they moved almost as one, seemingly always together even when they were not close to one another. The first trio, his hoard of daughters, had always been close but not so much as his youngest children; Maradona and Cersei were practically opposites and yet, they functioned well together and as for Octavia, she had become rather quiet, seemingly observing rather than doing as the others did. Either way, he had been roped into having Cersei tail along on his border check; he couldn't complain, at least. Her energy was contagious and seemingly useful - already, she'd noticed new tracks and new rabbit and fox holes.

They moved along the borders together, his daughter weaving in and out of his legs from time to time and dashing out, seemingly shouting her new discoveries at every opportunity. Her mouth seemed to move endlessly, and he found himself only able to nod along and chuckle at times. Maybe, he'd figured, I would have been better with the trio. Surely the younger children would have been more than content simply exploring rather than questioning, probing, shouting and dashing about. Of course, the thought was fast swept away when she came dashing back, her features serious and her voice hushed. Wolves on the border - just two, but two males, both who looked important in her own words. He cocked a brow, sniffing the air wearily and catching the peculiar scents. Cersei fast followed suit, sticking closer to her father as they trotted on, the forms of the two quickly making themselves known.

The largest male was the first one that drew in Tesseract's attention; he stood rather proudly, his musk a strong one that even he had noticed throughout the landscape. The other male was shorter, a pristine white marked with the same russet that Tesseract knew too well - he assumed some relation to Isola, though perhaps it was folly to assume all wolves of russet hue came from such a line. Cersei, he noted at her birth, was almost entirely such a colour, and yet there was certainly not a drop of Diveen blood within her. For that, he attempted to put the assumption away.

Cersei had been the first to speak as they arrived, both coming to stand some five or so feet from the pair. They had not approached in a threatening matter and in fact, both stood quite politely within the borders' limits. For that, he was thankful but still, Cersei moved to speak, seemingly enthralled by the meeting as she stared at the smaller male.

"You know, you look an awful lot like someone I know but you don't smell like you live here. Are you sure you aren't supposed to?"

She spoke with a cocked brow, her tail waving behind her and yet, Tesseract found he knew who she spoke of - Sinclair. He'd noticed of them had become quite close, and she had pestered him endlessly about anything regarding him and his family. He had few answers for her, only that he was related to Isola and thus, she was likely to find red hairs in him somewhere. Whether or not she had pinned him down to find them, he wasn't sure. For now, he was certain her question was rather... uncalled for, and instantly nudged her with his muzzle, meeting her gaze with a look that all too clearly said shush. Whereas she might have been oblivious, he had slowly put two and two together: far north, a new pack had been formed, a pack of pine and water. The male before them, scarred and proud, smelt of such things, of all the valleys and forests in between. He would work on his hunch this time, assuming that they had come from Taviora; if he was wrong, then surely being mistaken for an Alpha would be flattering, no?

"Please excuse my daughter for she is quite... excitable. She's simply not seen anyone quite like you before."

He spoke, at first, to Solaris, eyeing him curiously though he kept such appraisal short lived. After all, it was not him that held his entire curiosity, for if they were indeed from Taviora, then the Alpha was an enigma to him. He knew only what the free land gossip spoke of - a wolf of Diveen, one who had fought for them and then founded his own pack in the pines. It was little to go off, really.

"My apologies, too, if I have made you wait. Have you traveled far? Please, do feel free to sit and rest, for I imagine we have much to speak of."

He paused, motioning for his daughter (who had been watching the two males much more intently than he) to sit, too, before he rocked back onto his haunches. Reluctantly, she once more followed suit with the inkling of a sigh.

"You are Coszcotl, no?"

He tested the waters finally, flashing a curious grin as a brow rose up. If he were wrong or right, it would be a brilliant learning opportunity for his daughter and, potentially, another step forward for Glorall.
