At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Terrel slipped down as Mae’s body collided with his from behind, sending her down on top of him. She spoke his name as a caress of breath against his ear and as he responded buried her muzzle into the thick fur atop his neck. A deep breath drew in the male’s familiar and much missed scent, one she’d recognise anywhere no matter the strength of it. It brought forward fond memories of curling up beside him and a happy smile slipped onto her face. “Of course not, Mr. Overdramatic,” the femme replied cheekily, plumage waving high above her as she licked the top of his head fondly. Her mood was unusually playful. Though the mood sometimes struck her, it was rare that she was bold enough to initiate in play herself. Yet, as usual, Terrel was the exception.

The multicoloured brute twisted beneath her, only so much so that he could look up at her, and she made no effort to hide her brazen grin. “Well,” she mocked his question by looking as though she were attempting a serious answer, “You did let your guard down dear.” She let out a light laugh and then returned his embrace as he nuzzled into her neck. “I missed you, Terrel,” she sighed wistfully, voice taking on a serious note for a moment though her playful mood was by no mean alleviated.

The pair reluctantly separated and Mae found her four paws once more planted in the cold snow. She immediately missed the warmth offered by his body, but before she could give in and seek his touch again, he moved. Dipping into a bow, he swayed staring at her. She could see the mischief clearly displayed in every aspect of his body language and was glad to see his mood was similar to her own. Suddenly the male was moving and almost simultaneously the femme dipped into a play bow of her own, eyes glinting. Just upon reaching her, the femme tried to leap out of Terrel’s way. The male was too quick for her with his already built up momentum, and his paws landed over her back. The force of it sent Mae sideways, crashing into the cold blanket offered by the snow covered ground.

Mae laughed as they tumbled through the snow, breathless as they came to stop. She lay on her back, fur covered either with sprinkles or clumps of snow depending on how it had clung to her. She hesitated for a moment to try and catch her breath, panting, before trying to push against his chest in an effort to get up and regain control. When that didn’t work she reached up to tug at his ear with her teeth in an attempt to distract him so that she’d be able to get an advantage. “Let me up Terrel,” she growled through a grin, shoving against him once more before collapsing began with a laugh, admitting momentary defeat.
